since richard is back we can organise lunch/tea again and hopefully got ppl free to join =)

just curious... does the persistent tumbling damage the paintwork any bit?

My heart pain when i saw the mechanic trying to fixed back the ferring after change engine oil until the side got a small part of sticker peel off...Never visited that shop again..

If mech doesn't have the right tool (socket wrench)

Yes! he needs to take the right lower ferring off.

oil change can be done with a philips screw driver and a 17 (i think) box spanner.

never ever let them use open or adjustble wrench. if they insist, run away fast.

(plus old newspapers and $1.00 disposable alum tray, if you want to DIY)

if the mech does not have a careful hand, even if with gold plated tools, no one should bother giving 'em business

Oops... sorry. i had an oil and plug change... so that's why he had to remove the ferring..

Strange thing.. if i remember right, he took out the centre and lower part of the ferring..

Another mechanic just took out the centre portion..

I'm also having another problem with rusting.. haiz..troublesome to keep autosol-ing...

given the high COE. I think 5K range +- would be reasonable.

I'm intending to get my exhaust sprayed with hi-temp spray. But the mechanic said it's pointless as rust will come back after a while.

Is there another alternative? Chroming perhaps and how much?? Or a real good rust-remover?
