Now that you mention it, I think my dry cell batt need to be attended to as well. Recently my headlight is dimm, it brightens up a fair bit when I throttle.

OK, some more 'newbie' questions here:angel:

My headlight when just started also flickers with throttle but still pretty bright overall. Is it a sign of battery issues when this flickering happens? Dont think it brightens a lot when driving but hard to tell unless start acrobatic tricks:giddy:

Also, about the battery, how to check if wet cell or dry cell (and where is it placed anyway?:giddy: ) The voltage, judging from the table from d0n^, need a pretty accurate voltmeter to see, only got (very old) analogue one...can try and see..

oh oh Uncle Lim explained this to me before! our engine is connected to a generator which charges our battery and supports our electronics when we are moving. during stationary, the RPM is low, thus only a low charge is supplied. the flicker is due to the 'unsmoothness' of the engine turning the generator at a low RPM. when we rev up, the RPM increases and a faster turning generator ensures a smoother 'voltage producing' curve and a more constant and also larger voltage.

i forgotten all the engineering terms already. die la, all return to teacher. and with regard to the battery, it's under your seat. got to remove the screw which i pointed to you the other time. the one in your rear seat.

Hey don't anyhow ask people to stalk me. I already have Wandi as my stalker... hahaha

Malik88, i fully support you to respray! Gogogo. As long as not white + red can already. Though it means my non-stock paintwork wont be unique anymore, would be nice to see other cbr150 with nice colours. Perhaps even the Hannspree race replica =P Or can outsource to Zed, he got talent.

Hannspree, like that?

Thanks for the info, so not to be too worried then but will try my old analogue voltmeter and see how to measure my battery!:thumb:

if you're thinking about attaching the voltmeter with double sided foam tape, i have a better suggestion. i've got these 3M Velcro with stick tape. this way you can take it off anytime you want. i just need to collect them from a cousin's so let me know.

i prefer to keep my projects 'reversible'.

I wasn't planning on attaching the voltmeter, just to use it to measure and monitor the battery performance occasionally. Dont know if there is enough space to 'permanently' attached a voltmeter to the battery and anyways, how to look at it?

My job allows for some 'freedom' and a google search gives pretty quick results of available ideas for colour schemes...:)

last one cause will have to stop surfing again:

anyways, as mentioned, a quick search will provide plenty of ideas

putting ideas into execution will be a tad more time/work consuming:)

Uncle Lim has his wired to the front of his bike. you could do the same and stick it on top of your ERP unit, seeing that it sits in the centre.

i was wondering guys.

whether anyone in this forum had tried their cbr150 for a century sprint before?

if you did before, what's the timing like?

9 seconds? 10seconds?

yes i know it varies with alot of factors, such as mod of engine, chain, tyres and etc.

just a rough estimation of your cbr150 :D

Regards,

kifakw

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

The blue & yellow looks great. I've always liked this colour combo. And the bike does look fierce after getting lots of goodies.

my chain of 36000KM needs replacing. anybody changed theirs before? EK, DID, OEM? O-ring or X-ring? Price and where?

Wow your chain can last that long? Mine's coming up to 20,000KM and i was planning on changing it. Not anymore. Haha...

mine needs replacing cos some of the links don't turn well anymore. it makes lotsa clicking noises. mine is worst case scenario. just like when i rode my bike until the spark plug gave out.

i don't know what to fix till it's broken.

Any tips to give when buying a second hand CBR150? Seems like I've got quite alot to learn...

it seems like most of the 2nd habd CBR150s are sold and bought within our little community, so you should be quite safe.

if buying from shop, the best is to go down with someone who owns a CBR150, at least the shop keepers see someone who owns one with you they won't dare to bullshit too much.
