anyway, no other guys joining jenga & me for the trip to kukup ah? seafood lovers where are uuuuuuu?

 

jenga: i have a spare spark plug. do u have the spark plug opening tool? perhaps we can meet up before the trip to do some stocktaking. haha.

 

just met up with bro Shivaz yesterday. he has the carbonfibre look fuel tank cover! it was passed on to him by previous owner. but it sure looks cool!

Actually, Im not really interested in top speed. Hehehe... As long as it helps me in acceleration, i feel satisfied liao. Will try the top speed though, when I cant sleep in the middle of the night. My old top speed is 130kph with full throttle. New TS will be coming next week. Exam coming, so sianz

using aftermarket sprockets (forgot the teeth sizing).

 

gotta start saving up real soon for:

chain + sprocket

rear tyre

top service + change piston ring

TP fine $150 (currently on appeal)

Ben got his side boxes from the guys who was selling his grey CBR with the boxes so probably he's the only one around. In garage sales may still find the pictures though...

 

For the Kukup trip; I don't have this specific tool to take out spark plug but was planning to buy anyway. What else is needed? spare bulbs? Anyone can tell me which bulbs needed for front/back? Pictures would be good:)

Tough man, if you did not get this TP fine, the money could have paid for your overhaul... Any chance you get away with appeal or u just doing to postpone payment? How to appeal anyway?

OK great, then I just bring the usual stuff like screwdriver set and some wrenches...anything else essential? We can review beforehand if u're free during evening time this week or next week?

with regard to the CF tank cover, is it just a design, or real CF?

but expenses is holding me back. i'm 2500km in to my last spark plug and EO change. it's due at 5000km, so if i go i'll have to invest in an earlier change, on top of 'holiday' costs.

Im going to have exam soon, so for the time being, I wont try the topspeed. Perhaps next week after exam. My previous TP is 130kph but its at 9k rpm, throttle finish alrdy, the rpm n speedo cant go up anymore, but the road is slightly going up (bit only).

I think this is normal...at low rpm when just started, this happens...but when ur bike is warm, should no longer flicker this much. What is your rpm when you start cold?

yours is new bike or 2nd hand? If new should be more than 1 rpm, likely around 1.5 rpm... indeed if very low like that, bike likely to stall and flicker lights as not not enough juice to power lights...

low idling= better FC, cos the bike revs less when throttle not turned. less noise is better. same reason why a high reving Ferrari drinks fuel faster than a less noisy Nissan.

 

flickering at idling is normal. reason is because the low RPM is not producing sufficient power to the electronics through it's alternator. LEDs, more costly but longer lasting, should eliminate this problem.

yup, mine is around that. when start from cold (morning and evening) can stutter a bit and die if not rev a bit quickly but when warm no more problems...

sorry, both Zed (Collectees) and myself are at upper bukit timah so not so near (besides, we're both still rookies ) but can always arrange a meetup anyway with other CBR150 riders in the area. I believe there are a few around Bedok area?

sian.... yishun dam is a good place to relax.. can see many things there.. like zheng car... but it can get boring sometimes =X
