No law on this so far, not encouraged. Short answer: no illegal.

Disagree, Traffic police encourage that either you stop by the road to answer your call, if not, you better use an earpiece.

Secondly, it depends on the volume of your music, in some cars, they installed a "disco" in them, which they really can't hear/notice whatever is happening outside of that metal casing.

So, which is more hazardous? :dot:

I do that sometimes but I only use 1 piece of the earphones so that I'm able to hear my surroundings. Went through a few road blocks, seemed all right.

Legality of this issue is yet to be confirmed, however, based on my experience, I went through a few road blocks while listening to music on my left ear. No questions asked by the kind police officers.

it is not against the law. It has been discussed already.

But make sure ur hands are not on the music device fidgeting it and keep it hands-free.

It is just like using a hands-free set to talk on the phone mah so not an offence.

Is it allowed? Is there any law on it?

The thread starter asked whether it is allowed. I gather he/she meant whether it is illegal? Answer is "No", it is not illegal.

Whether it is safe or not is another thing. For use of handphones there is a specific legislation against this.
