Any recommendations?

It depends entirely on what you are looking for. I rode DRZ400 for 5 years before changing to my FZ1.

Probably one of the best traffic buster bike around but forget about highway riding.

duke and vespa are an entirely different style of bikes. first thing u need to identify is wat rocks your boat. whats ur taste like? supermoto? street? classic?

then the practical side of it, whats the bike gona be for? need topbox? some bike put box not stylo. haha. travelling far all the time? ur budget? coomon bikes are obviously s4 and drz but being common sometimes can be positive thing, parts are everywhere so no worries. when u go for continental bikes, u pay for continental parts.

Haha that is true… cos I had a vespa 150 and was oso keen on trying a bike with manual gear and am attracted by the looks of the duke 390… but I'm sure for a bike like duke put box cfm not stylish haha

I'm sure practicality vespa gts 300 would be better with the box etc

VTR250! Honda v-twin street bike. But need a group of interested buyers cos no shop wants to risk bringing them in.

Since you mentioned that you had a vespa and attracted to manual gear bikes, you should go with your heart and get the duke 390. You can mount a small box on the duke as well.

Other 2A bikes you can consider are CB400 Revo, CB400X, CB400F,DRZ400SM, CBR250R

Yamaha RXZ, Kawasaki ZX KR150, Yamaha Spark135, Honda CB400 REVO NC42, Suzuki DRZ400SMK8, Aprilia RS125, Suzuki GSXR600K9, Honda RS150R

Seriously? Dats dirt cheap when ninja 300 and z300 is about 12k machine. Even cbr250/300 is not that cheap. Dats the price I expect for r15.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

ya! thats the first reaction when i told my boss the price; he has been waiting for the R3 for the longest time..but he is waiting for the COE to drop which i doubt so.

the shop post on its fb and it showed up on my feed.

another shop has it going for 15k, with akra pipe, 6months rd tax, insurance and all paperwork etc..

currently plus all taxes, coe n insurance for mopeds otr >S$10k.

cannot be leh bro... i dun see how machine price of 7.5k can end up exceed 20k otr, unless the shop play punk with the 7.5k figure.

'omv' and 'machine price' not the same leh. machine price is the base price from the shop. you only need to add coe, insurance and road tax (and interest if applicable), and you're otr good to go.

so you take coe 6.5k, insurance mebbe you very young or wat hit 2k, road tax one year oso at most $100, its at most 17k only. if the shop adds other funny stuff like stamp fee until really exceed 20k, the shop play punk.

my ninja 300 advertised 12k machine. i only added insurance and coe and road tax. of coz i buy 2 years ago coe much lesser, but the fact remains if 7.5k is the 'correct' machine price without play punk, its bloody cheap and practically makes ninja300 and cbr300 irrelevant purchase. and it definitely wont exceed 20k otr.

omv is a different figure. its an LTA number which comes into play only if you deregister before ten years. practically for buyers, machine price is the one you need to take note.

all the cubs, their omv may be

but additional 7.5k (15k - machine 7.5k = 7.5k diff) for akra, road tax, insurance does not sound worth it leh. akra full system i donno, maybe 2.5k? and thats full sytem, if they give akra slip on should be 1k onli. road tax 6 months

if this is really what they sell, i rather buy stock machine price 7.5k and buy my own insurance and exhaust. i will save thousands. unless 15k include coe, then yes worth it. but i would be surprised because everytime coe price volatile (like now) shops stop advertising and quoting otr inc coe prices.

but you know what, if this other shop 'truthfully' say machine price maybe 12k, plus the akra 1k, plus insurance 2k, end up 15k, i totally believe. makes sense. that would mean the 7.5k figure is a punk number, they will add bogus admin fees until actual machine price of 12k.
