Any website to order online? Or where in malaysia to order? Need the rubber seal of my box urgently..

 

Ohayo help me to order parts frm Mrcycle.com it take about 2 weeks to reach..

 

Malaysia side I got friend staying in KL . But some parts there r not cheap.

hi guys.. i jus bought gtr 1400 (10) .. cn any one tel hw much km cn be travelled before reserve tank..

 

I'm on the '08 model and running around Singapore can just about squeeze 310 before the thing starts flashing at me. Haven't dared to try how far it will go after that.

 

How are you finding the new model?

Try making a complaint to the Anti-Competition Commission....they seemed to have monopolise the Kawa Market for too long...to cocky leoz.

 

Anyhow, I am considering getting the new Concours14 too but afraid of the build quality, esp. the electronic gadgets cos I intend to ride for many years. Wonder if they would last. Maintainence and repair will be expensive as well...haiz..headache! To buy or not??? Any new owners willing to share if there are any problems wif the new GTR??? Much appreciated.

 

I believed all bikes are built to last and to be used but not ABUSED. Concours does not used any super duper technology. It uses the electronical technology that existed for sometime in the market. You should not worry about its durabilities.

How fast you get your bike depends on availability. I know Loois motor's stock will be fully booked when the new shipment comes in...

But sent back to never shine the first few servicing must b done by them if nt all void.and if u change this change that .all void they will say because u change this that y that thing spoil.even fix erp also void if yr wiring gt problem..any one encounter that? I did...

 

Anyway, the bike is 5 mths old and 10k km done.. Doubt they will entertain what is call warranty to them.. Will need to shine the bike myself insetad..

 

 

Can they explain to you how service location or the erp unit can cause the the seals in your box to leak?

 

Stand your ground till you get your way unless you admit the defect is your responsibility.

 

The very same bike get 12mths warranty is in the US of A.

Yahoo...juz booked my first tourer today with them! Your are right, waiting for the new shipment....its going to take few months! Hope I made the right choice.

 

Joseph, what are your concerns that affect your decision and hope it will be a right choice eventually?

 

If you are a performance such as fast accelation etc and sports bike rider. GTR may not suit you because

 

1. Its heavy and a pain in the neck to ride in Singapore Forever congested traffic

 

2. Due to the weight, size and length of the bike, you may faced difficulties to find suitable bike lots. For example, Funan IT Mall. East Coast Park Hawker centre. Chomp Chomp hawker centre etc (legal carpark)

 

3. As the seat is pretty high and coupled with the heavy weight, shortie faced extreme dificulties to reverse the bike while seated on it. If you parked head in the down slope or a sandy/unpaved floor. You are in for a sweaty time. Of course this can be eliminated by very experience rider who had good skill and technique.

If you wanna play safe. FJR remarkability performace has been tested and proven by the community. One of my friend actually changed 3 FJRs.

 

Get FJR.

 

If you hated small tank tourer and wants to pump petrol less frequently. Dont mind the tzzzzzzz engine sound

 

Get STX

 

If you are a risk taker and wanna try something new.

 

Get GTR

 

Personally i have never regretted my decision. Enjoying my 08 GTR in and out. Long distance travelling no problem at all. ^_^

jus like to share my experience in evershine yesterday.

 

wen to evershine to do servicing for my bike which i bought 2 weeks bk.. ( gtr 1400) wat i knw servicing is free but oil must buy.. so i asked them hw much the price of mineral oil & oil filter.. they charge me $14.00 for 1 L( mineral oil) & $24.00 for oil filter that is vry expensive.. this price u cn get semi syn oil.. so i told them about this but they did not agree.. after few wrds with miss ang she told me to go n buy mineral oil frm somewhere else where i cn get cheap n pass it to her n she will ask the mechanic to service for me.. i jus wen 1 floor up n bought @ $26.00 4L .. wen i bring to her she claims is diff brand n she will not do the service for me.. within ten min she twist her wrd.. i wen to the office to find for her again. she unleash her dog to chase me out .. after that mechanic told that she is like that .. they claim that i must only use their engine oil for the service to cover the warranty.. this is very unreasonable. they always jack up the price anyhow.. this 2 ladies at evershine are the worst people.. guys who reading this.. we should do something about this. pls suggest wat cn be done.

bike is great.... if u guys pump @ Malaysia try petronas 97 .. is dam gd.. u cn feel the diff between 95 & 97. only prob is the windscreen is vry low.. i see no point wind still hit the rider..
