Because of the coe price, those C70 left out there with coe expiring will be scrapped. Especially the square headlight model which is not valued as much as the classic model. Not many willing to pay 2k plus to renew the coe for this humble bike. Big bikes, yes 2k plus is worth paying for another 10 years life on the road. It is a pity to think that the stupid coe system will be the cause of wiping out this bullet proof classic from our roads.

wanna sell?

Shorty,

There are still some lying around bike shops. You can get them for a few hundred bucks if you are prepared to pay coe later (mostly will be expiring) and spend some time and money to do it up to your taste and preference. Most of us do it this way. Already done up usually owner intend to keep and they also may not coincide with your taste. Besides, it is fun to seek out the parts and build it up yourself to your liking. Cheers.

Coe until end 2019, that I think is worth a little bit. Anyway, I am keeping it even if I succeed in getting the classic model from my friend.:)

mine COE till 2020 :)

i get from shop with quite poor condition on early 2010,

my style will more focus on performance and comfortably ride, cosmetic mods will become last part.

Yeah. That's the way. Go for whatever you prefer. Some of us will restore exactly like original, some of us add in a little personal touch here and there and others go about transforming the engine to get the best out of it. The C70 is as versatile as any others, only more charming, to me.

Whats your cruising speed for this bike? I just got a madass using a bored c70 engine, and i can only get topspeed 80-90kph, most times in traffic can only manage 60+, but its great bike for jams.

60-70km/h was the best, ride within the (blue/green zone), 40-60km/h, might have unbelievable FC

as i was detune my C70 after mods for longer span life and better FC.

whats blue/green zone? I not interested in speed also, i just want to ride this baby long long time. Except peak hour i get to sneak up express way to ride in the jams, otherwise, i stick to normal roads and ride.

Riding in traffic jams is one big advantage for small bikes. Actually I don't see why the reluctance to ride c70 under normal free flowing traffic on the expressway too. I do it all the time these days. Mine is stock engine. I travel from pasir ris to jurong about once a week and ever since having the c70, I prefer to ride than to drive up there. On the expressway, I ride on the extreme left lane and never had any problems, sometimes overtake slow vehicles too. Cruising at around 60+ to 70 this way is quite comfortable and I hit 90 easily when overtaking or whenever I need to.

Fuel consumption is unbelievable. Parts are cheap when you can find them, whether original parts or made in Malaysia/Thailand. This humble 72cc bike is really good for daily use or for weekend leisure rides, I feel.

Nope, i like my madass as a jam cruiser, when it jams, i cruise. I have a big bike for free flowing traffic battles.

That's a good idea. I have class 2 and thought of doing that too but my left hand 2 fingers damaged and cannot ride big bikes with clutch.

Posted

The only class 2 with auto gear is honda DN-1, V-twin, shaft drive cafe racer style.

so far i know for class 2 automatic transmission.

Yamaha TMAX

Suzuki Burgman 650

Honda Silver Wing

Aprilia Mana 850

Honda VFR1200F DCT

Yamaha FJR1300AE

,NOT consider as automatic transmission, just clutch control by ECU, when shift up/down gear......

Thanks! I already considered these. I tried auto scooters but somehow not my cup of tea. Hopefully after my operation, My fingers will be better and I can have the options.

I am new member. Just got to know about this club yesterday. Do count me in for any rides and outings. Ismail here.

This is a 72 spokes wheel using racing boy rim and C70 stock hub with additional 36 holes drilled onto it, laced in a crossed pattern for strength.
