just to add on a friendly reminder...

those of u who like to play top speed or drag all the gears frequently like me, u better check your engine oil level often. The last time i drained it... wah @_@ so little oil! really hope it didn't do much harm to the bike.

well,i guess ride gently or hard the bike will eat oil also, only a matter of more oil or less. Its good for the engine when u drag gears, thats why i do it on and off. Drag abit then shift, drag abit then shift. But not when engine cold or drag till "redline".

Common for four stroke small bikes , last time i ride yamaha fxr didnt change engine oil lo ,juz top up :cheeky: cause it eats up 4T, become like 2T hahaha and it doesnt breaks down , still can ride lo.

think Wave similiar, just dont allow ur engine oil dry up can liao.but must change la, for safety purpose and maintanence.

Didn't check engine, but there is a low pitch buzzing sound from the engine at certain speeds. Definately too noisy for a 4-stroker.

Does your friend encounter the sound too?

MERGED THREAD

Topic : honda anf125 proper maintenance

Description : and troubleshooting

********************************************************************

how about starting a maintenance list for easy reference for all of us here?

(i know its in the manual, but its not that comprehensive and some of us might've lost the manual)

1.) engine oil - change every 3k-km (recommended grade?)

2.) tyre pressure - constantly around 29-33 psi for the front, 33-36psi for the rear

3.) sparkplug - change every 10k-km

4.) wash carburettor - wash every ???? (or when accel is slow)

5.) clear exhaust carbon -

6.) change clutch plates -

7.) gear oil (is there a need? not sure) -

8.) piston change -

9.) tighten and lube chain/sprocket - every 1k-km

10.) engine overhaul -

those i've left blank, im not sure about the interval myself.

pls add on to the list, so we can keep our beloved bikes in tip-top condition :thumb:
