Agree guys...its a damn nimble bike and I luv it especially zipping around busy city like bangkok...if Im not mistaken..my new Sonic could churn out about 50-55KM/L . Havent go for 1st service as it's only clock 600+ KM.

Hmm.. After reading arnd da forum, i've scaled down to 2 choices, 14/39 and 13/38. Any idea whether the setup is similar or got difference? Btw boxsurat since ur sonic is likely similar with mine, may i know wut sprocket setting u using now?

 

i tink stick to stock front sprocket size better ah. so 14/39 or 38 lo?..

Anyone knows which shop is gd at fabricating? cause i order a new set of fairings and mine is a old model some parts need to to fabricate to fix in the screws.. hw much do u think its goin to cost?

Hi guys! Need your inputs. I just bought a '03 Sonic and enjoying the fun of riding it. The only problem I have is that the throttle has been modified to "half throttle". Thats what the mechanic says. This "half throttle" is very stiff and becomes uncomfortable riding for more than half an hour. Hand aching for holding it tight so that it wouldn't spring back. The mechanic advice to change back to original which comes in a set. Do you guys know whether is possible to "lighten" the throttle? If have to change the whole set to original, where can I get it?

mmhh i dunno what is my sprocket size. last time i changed the sprocket and chain i didn't ask what size. maybe later i try to count the teeth

mmhh never about heard "half throttle", but normally when the throttle is stiff, i just change to new one. my case last time throttle stiff because the cable almost break.

i only go to 2 shops for my sonic, gyrate tech at 9 defu lane or mah motorparts opposite sim lim tower.

Thanks for the input. I went to Heng Motor today and the mechanic changed the throttle back to original. The one I have was called a fast throttle. Not half throttle. Learnt something new again today. Now the twist and the grip is super.

wah just nice, i need to change steering bearing. can help to buy 1 for me please. every time i corner, i feel heavy like not enough air in the front tyre.

 

also can help to buy 1 set of stainless steel spokes rim for front rim.

Hey bro, how have u installed the new coverset that u ordered? Went b-plus recently to ask for a new set of sonic side shrouds.. At 1st they gave me the new version shrouds which obviously cant fit on my bike.. So after much searching, they finally found the right 1, which is da last pair .. But is in blue colour~ Well still bought it and now sitting at my home waiting to send for repray~

 

As for da digital meter on sonic, y not ask a fellow ex-sonic rider here.. He's nick is lifeless if im not wrong, and he's selling his cool looking digi meter for 500 buck i think~ Gd luck~

Yeap fix it already looking gd.. nuting to fabricate just install some bracket and walaahh..if i knew i should have fix it myself, wanted to but nt sure.. gt a bit rip off by the shop for fixing the coverset.. well let be an experience (im just giving opinion.. it was abit ex thats all but i wont mention where or what shop). anw abt the digital meter WOW its sure damn expensive:cry:tot it would be a few hundred only.. $500 fewhhh thats ex, forget abt it then.. i gt a question, if i want to reset my mileage, hw much does it cost? anyone been to the honda agent b4? or is there any other way i could reset it my self?

From my rough calculation, Im able to get 32-43 km/ l of milleage. full tank i can travel abt 150km so far.

Its almost 5 months old...done 1300km. Im quite surprise by the mileage too..

maybe need to put stock parts back

U should try this slider and racing needle for Sp carb. It improve the response of the throttle...
