a shop quoted me 3.3k for a FZ plate X1, is it worth it? With 3rd party insurance... anyway whats the difference between X1 and X1 Supreme? Sorry i am new to cubs How much is X1 first hand anyway, if not much diff might as well buy new...

Heh thanks for the fast reply... now i have a rough idea. Anyway what made you X1 riders choose X1 over Spark135? I am quite curious cause they cost abt the same ( X1 abt 4k OTR, Spark 4.4k OTR)... i am in a dilemma, spark or X1...

my gf took out and fz plate a few days ago.

OTR price is less then 3k

X1 riders care to share your views?

super = auto clutch

supreme = manual clutch

 

the reasons i can think of getting a X1 over T135:

 

1. the twin headlights and LED brakelight look nicer

2. more fuel saving due to lower CC

 

 

advantages of T135 over X1:

 

1. rear mono shock

2. bigger CC = more power

wah...i like the tribal looking style siah

 

actually i've seen this green color X1 in causeway point carpark before

the stickers on it are different from the normal ones

has got tribal designs on it also

looked like authentic yamaha stickers to me

sorry if my word hurts.. to me i feel x1 look nice on me coz im small size and sparks look kinda "fat" and i perfer x1 coz to me i find it look nicer den sparks but if you are goin for speed i rather you to take spark den x1 if only tis two bike in yr mind..

Haha no worries dude... i also feel that X1 looks sleeker, but i cant decide as it is only 110cc. If it has the same power as spark i would have chosen X1 indefinitely. Do cubs really feel very light at high speeds (say 90-110) as compared to other 2b bikes like phantom? I am interested in cubs but i somehow doubt its handling at high speeds. I am 60kg, 172cm btw, do cubs suit me? I dun wanna look like a bear on a bike

LoL no i dont wanna lower my bike... i test rode one yesterday and found it very low compared other bikes like the BBDC ones. Felt like i am riding a bicycle. But one thing was great, and tt was the feel when i accelerate. Feels good to ride a bike tt feels overpowered, zippy and torquey

dude.. im 115kg n ard yer height.. im riding a X1.. seat also cut already.. everything feels good.. so it shld feel good for u too..

Anyway pardon my ignorance... i know its a dumb question but i am really skeptical. What is the yoshimura shocks for, and how does it differ from the stock ones? Say i dun race, will it make my ride more comfortable? How much for the yoshimura or good shocks?

cause at the time when i bought my X1, i havent even heard of Spark135

X-1 stock shocks are soft and makes ur bike goes up and down vigorously when u go over a hole.

This is dangerous when your are negotiating a corner , what will happen when ur bike wobbles?

It is advisable to change the shocks as the aftermarket shocks are much harder and can be adjusted to you preference(the softness/hardness).

 

I have a pair of Showa red color shocks with catalizer up for sale.

Used less then a month cos i decided to get the shorter ones.
