[CLOSED] SBF Yamaha X1

wat does a racing cdi do?.... and does it really make a diff in jst replacing it or

 

beside the cdi u have to add other thing to make it useful?

 

wat the pricing like ? sg or jb? does any of u have fix and really feel the diff?

hi fren is me again.......jst wanna ask REV TEC and racing cdi iz the same ? do

 

they work the same way? wat the outcome if these two thing is fixed on to the

 

bike ? will the bike have more more power?

i myself havent tried out racing CDIs nor rev tec.

based on what i've read and found out verbally frm mechanic:

 

after fixing racing CDI:

- gears easier to drag

- can achieve higher RPMs

 

as for whether racing CDI can be used alone or must it be used together with other mods e.g. bigger carburettor, etc

i believe it can work alone. but if u really want to bring out the performance, i guess modifying other parts will be required

i've also heard abt racing CDIs being more likely to burnt out compared to stock CDIs though.

up to u whether u wan to believe or not.

 

if im not wrong, rev tec is a voltage stabiliser product different from CDI. it kind of stabilise the electric current of the bike. thru stabilising, it is said to produce effects like smoother engine running, save petrol, etc.

likewise, the effects of rev tec is up to u whether u wan to believe or not.

hmm.. my advise if u`re gonna make diz bike ur daily commutin bike.. keep it close to stock.. cos race parts r well known to wear off faster.. as quoted by don.. "its up to u to believe or not".. if u wan a bike wif top speed.. go get a kr/sp/tzm.. if u wan a bike wif strong pick-up.. go get a ktm.. period..! at da end of da day.. x1 is juz 110cc.. how strong u wan it to be..? u decide.. no offence though.. juz my 2 cents..

o ok...and is not that i don't believe him(don) or any 1... jst wanna know wat the use of

 

racing cdi and REV TEC only ...coz don't really know how these things work. and

 

wat effect they will have on a x1

 

currently i'm riding a krr and yea the bike got speed but need lotz of maintaince

hmm.. no worries.. i mahself newbie.. still got lots to learn.. if da main purpose of revtec is to save on petrol consumption.. i tink no point fixin it.. cos x1 is already fuel efficient.. juz my tots though.. cheers..!
