:: sunday, november 25, there's a request for a vespa only escort for the wedding of ali's (sbf username cephelix) good friend. a short ride from aljunied to bedok north. this is a good opportunity to meet fellow vespa enthusiasts old and new alike.

 

vespas are of no preference; old, new, raceables, classics etc etc... first timers to a motorcycle convoy need not worry as there will be experienced riders to guide you. place to meet & time are to be confirmed by end week.

 

so gear up and polish up that machine.

hey maes yea i went to tong aik, decided to do my mods there.. seems cheaper and friendlier.. beginning to have bad impressions of ahjoo.. u guys heard anything abt him?

anyway where does the pple make those customised or ready-made PVC or leather covers for the baskets at the back of their rides? found my perfect basket but the recent weather calls for a cover against weathering mann..

:: hey dude... glad to hear you managed to do up your baby~! well the shops mention'd are the main and probably the only places where you can do up your mods... well it all depends on individual's preference on where they prefer or comfy at actually~ just fyi; prices of accessories and to mod up your vespa actually depends on the service, workmanship etc etc~ guess it is best to just let one's bad preference on whoever kept away from this forum~ (got into some bad dramas in the past with some mofos... so yeah... hurhurhur~!!)...

 

well for PVC covers~ i recommend ah boon~!! at bendemeer... his shop's situated under a hdb block... not sure of the block number though... we can always hook up one day when the sun shines and all riders are merry~!!! ::

haah nayr..do forgive us..we are all a little scarred still to this date by "bad dramas" as mentioned by maes2ro..and hope you understand that while we encourage the voicing of all kinds of opinions be they bad or good in this thread, many of us here are friends of ah joo so it does put us in a difficult position when people grouse about him. for every happy customer of tong aik, ah joo, roda dua or any other workshop for the matter, you hear of an unhappy one..ultimately, a lot boils down to luck and the connection/relationship you share with your mechanic i guess..

 

have only had pleasant experiences with ah joo, tong aik and roda dua but have heard of many unpleasant experiences with all 3 workshops from other people so my only advice would be try out these workshops for yourself and judge for yourself..and hopefully along the way you find a workshop you like and trust enough to continue giving business to for as long as you ride
