Yea.. It's 2nd party. 3rd party would be cheaper (dunno how much cheaper). But since I bought the bike on hire-purchase (installments), the shop required me to take at least 2nd party.

They needa back-up plan in case ur bike goy stolen or burnt and u're not paying them anymore bcos u don't have the bike anymore. At least with 2nd party, they'll get to claim the amt u haven't paid them.

That is why i said 500 for insurance is not enough.. NTUC i heard can do installment for it also..

I'm very confirmed that 19 yr old, P-plate for SP is 700-800 bucks. My friend told me. Even RXZ needs $750. Wth lol?

i just layup my bike and when i went to LTA the lady told me when you layup ur bike at ur hus downstair u dun need buy insurance 1st.. only need to buy Season parking.. after u pass ur tp then buy ur insurance. hope thls helps:cheeky:

19 and 20 years old the price is quite different. Next year when my probation finish (i'll be 20), i think i can get Allianz insurance at less than $400.

for the mitsui one it has been increased to 1300.. for p-platers that are under 21. and for NTUC it should be ard 900++.

 

mitsui recently increased their insurance price(20-08-2007) as confirmed by many bike shops. and the increase is around 80% -100%.

ijust called up NTUC for new riders, 19 yearold. . itold her FS,FT,FU plates. the aunty tell me abt $600+. she herself tell me mitsui went up ALOT.
