Are you they're teaching jiujitsu at Tanglin CC? So far i've only heard of private dojos and unnofficial instructors.....but then again i was talking about brazilian jiujitsu which is a totally different animal

Yeah kick n run really works but the best for me in real life combat situations are the aikido or judo throws.......once u throw a guy to the ground with one hand he will most likely not disturb u again

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

i read somewhere in the sunday times many many months back bout somewhere in tanglin.... not sure it's CC or somewhere else.

how i wish i am tat good to throw ppls wif 1 hand... hmmm maybe i panic easily so i guess a surprise kick and run works for me best.

ANiway seldom u come across a situation in SG where ppl really have the guts to fight one to one if trouble starts to brew.

Most are bo lampha sansters which come in hordes of 10 and above just to confront 1 or 2 persons.

They hide their insecurity by gathering in great numbers.

SO best kick the fella senseless before he call the rest of the monkees on his hp.

agree agree those so call "gangster" r mostly "no ballster" only dare to approach u when they got number speriority  remember once was in marina bay (the old empress walk) with a friend met a few ~5 fello whom got bro kana whack by my friend few days ago. they shouted at us but we bo chap just walk on they also no balls to chase. then as we drink & toking c*** on empress walk this time they came with ~20 fello :giddy:

no ballster "u r XXX is it?"

my friend "si mi lan?"

no ballster "#$%&*"

then when they move closer my friend & me coinsidently did a front kick to the closest no ballster & turn together & ran as fast as we could  oh boy after that we did a bloody long escape route :giddy: we ran from empress walk - empress hawker center - paliment hse - funa - beach rd "book city" & board a citybus

this is true... last time i thought the silat kata that i learnt was just non-sense and just for show but in fact as i age...

i noticed that the kata is the one that helps me bring the oponent down in the ring.

Through practice and perfection of stances and grabs... a fella with a fast kick could be trapped and thrown off balance landing on his head or back depending on the kata that i execute :giddy:

u got dojo to practice bro?... can't do it in public rite? later think we some sanster or something hehehe

for me i have a gym to practice but it's my workplace and only employees are allowed so too bad can't have a session there.

actually now can do it in public. the police have scrap the law about martail training needing lincense. so now u practise in public is ok. any way i train wif my fren at my hdb flat. if u wan can traine at the tpy garden , i found a quiet spot. for my own i train in my karate dojo, which i am a member, not sure if they allow outsider.

i was from yjc.... i din just give up like tat. as i already got a tkd black belt and i think karate brown belt... can see i am very interested in wu shu also. but my instructor .. abit off leh. he can't tell i have martial art background where else some of my fellow lion dance troop can tell and .. he pick the wrong form for me .. northern style , cos i am skinny . but my foundation wif tkd and karate are closer to the southern style and his skill really not so good. he drop is da tao while performing in a martial meet. so kind of give up ,, i need to learn from some one more profficient .. he seem to be less experiene in martial art than me... so eventually .... drop out of it
