just mention u tok the wrong turn and realised it too late.. u r trying to get out of there.. but it's too late.. kena caught..

 

well, it happened to me once.. i was near orchard erp from scott road.. i move wrong path to one of the hotel.. the hotel let without passing thru the ERP!.. hmm.. i squeeze thru a pedestrian with a guard staring at me.. i waved to him saying sorry for it..

 

then i quickly move out from there.. and then found out ERP actually OFF oledi.. *shrug

as for me... i will just go thru the ERP without my cashcard when i forgot to bring it.. and just pay the 8 dollar fine.. rather den being caught avoiding the ERP..

haha.. thanks yenyenpark.i will try hee..now learn a lesson liao somemore the ROV so good to me and friendly can count lucky also lol so i wun advoid erp next time liao.wanna ask.at the same day my cashcard got 40cent left i pass thru the ERP at the shaw hse there.den after tat pass thru again at The Cathay there.den i check i still left 20cent.why ah?

maybe one of it never detect ur cashcard inside ur ERP... stand by a letter coming up ur way.. hehe!

ya, better be careful and follow the rules and laws...

 

fine still small thing.. since $$ can earn back.. but if involved in accident like tat.. siao liao.. sure kena claim jialat jialat.. and may b hurt ourselves in the process.. medical fees, repair fees.. mental suffering.. physical suffering.. blah blah..

just to share my experience...

 

was in the exact situation when i free got my bike license (years ago)... a friend told me that use that to go into sim lim via that 'small lane' straight into the carpark (that time sim lim still free parking for bike).

 

even the very first time i attempt, i was caught by the ROV officer ambushing there. he told me they have been doing that all the time and i am not the first one he caught on that day already...

 

asked for chance and all the lip work is useless, somemore i told him i was really new and hope to get a chance. he looked at my 'P' plate yet since take down my particulars.

 

in the end, 2 charges; 1. Evading ERP which i think is $200, 2. Travelling in the wrong direction, which i think is $150 and 3 pts.

 

with that, i told myself, never to even think of it trying to beat the ERP in SG again... for my previous job, i have to pay 4 ERPs (2 ERPs at the CTE to town, 1 ERP to enter town and 1 nite time ERP back home) daily, since i be an good citizen and pay my arse off...

 

bottomline, never try to screw the SG system, cos in the end, you are the one that always got screwed... kekeke...

Ooh yeah I did saw the ROV hide nearby previous Shell station that near MOToworld.

IMO, you can try go met the MP after you gotten the "letter"..

admit your mistakes to your MP.. then ask if they can write a letter for your fine to be reduced..

 

then wait for a week, go to TP to appeal for your case.. becuz MP wun give you the appeal letter they wrote for you, they will send direct to TP..

 

then wait and see if the fine is reduced..

hope i've helped in a way or another..

 

just dun do it next time!! I often go SLS, but always paid the ERP and just parked on the pavements after the gantry.. no fines for illegal parking unless the residents of the shops compliant lah..

Sometimes EDDIES will not be updated but the letter will stil arrive in 2 weeks time...

 

How do i noe? Coz I was summoned by TP for parking at pavement at Far East Plaza. I check eddies everyday to see whether really kena or not but it didnt appear. then happy happy thought that the TP might be just scaring me lar but 2 days after exactly 2 weeks, i received the dreadful letter from TP. then LL pay up $70.
