far far away. in sepang for instance.....can see top riders easily looking at turn 2 while doing turn 1.....

always look far.....and u will automatically find the best exit....

problem looking far.....just ride slowly and get the feel of looking far first

Don't just break your laptimes, SHATTER them!!

Its strange but true... your bike will go where you look.

You look at the guy overshooting the turn into the gravel... chances are...you will go out with him.

How I know?????.... been there and done that.

Very true... example turn 1 PG, screw up there lots of time... if you look straight to the gravel, chances are you will most definately go straight to the gravel!:giddy: But thank God i pray hard enough to survive, both me & my bike.

I survived this one coz I forced myself to look away from the gravel and tyre wall.

Only on a DRZ... if it was the CBR1000RR.... I doubt I will make it.

A question on sequence. Shiting posture refers to align left butt with centre of bike and right butt hang off for a right turn only right? Cause you mention knees gripping tank before prop up and braking.. that means the right knee is still not stuck out yet? When do you stick the right knee out for right turn?

Btw.. S4 nia.. actually dun need blip but i'm just praciticing the right stuff...

I also ride a s4 and I still blip. Frankly speaking, I dun understand why people dun like engine braking. I lOVE it. If you're slowing down, the rpm will surely drop. When i'm slowing down on public roads, i'll close throttle first and let the engine brake slow down the bike. When the gear's RPM is about 4000rpm, i'll clutch in slightly past half clutch, blip, kick down the gear, then gradually release clutch. If need be, i'll use front brake at the same time.

For track, take your time, dun concentrate on timing, more of getting used to the track. About sequence, it's before your breaking point and before the turn. Shifting body and butt to the left or right, depends on the turn. I remember Charn said shifting your butt and body before the turn, so that your body is in position and u can concentrate on turning, instead of in the turn, u realise u need shift your arse out more and low side.

How much to shift your butt out depends on rider, but for a start, u can shift out a bit and do a bit of butt hanging. I still remember when I started off track, was so scared to hang my butt out in a corner and had SO much trouble scrapping my knee slider. And holy Devil, Hart and the rest kept telling me to go for it.

Btw, I have'nt been to track for ages, so pardon me if i'm wrong. Am really rusty on track knowledge.

Yes, what more to say, practice *follow fast rider*, practice *follow fast rider*, practice *follow fast rider*, practice *follow fast rider* dont be shy if the fast rider ride RXZ or any small cc bike. The aim is to improve on the technic, skill and timing , it doesn't matter weather you start slow and also understand your bike characteristic (such as braking, gearing and open/close throttle).

What hart said is true, you need to sacrifice, dude......:thumb:

But of course, follow fast rider within your means....my neighbour scare the hell out of me trying to follow me on his street tyres. And he would overtake me on the straights, only to brake early and makes me wonder what funny thing he is going to do before turning in. Plus he has no suit.

Sibingai bro,

This is how I screwed up Turn 2 the last time I went.

And yes, everything (me+bike) ate pebbles.

Never ever pick up my mistake...

i am not too sure if they blip....their dry slipper clutch technology is amazing. once, a rich ducati monster owner purchased a dry slipper clutch from rossi's first M1 which won in 04. the clutch assembly was installed in his monster(big mistake. should have donated to me). he is a retired amatuer racer himself.

his review was these technology has to wait at least 10 yrs before it evolves to production.

also, when u see/hear rossi's on board footage on the 800......u can really see/hear him slowly letting go the clutch in the last gear at the entry of the corner.....the M1 800 has great entry speed.(this info was highlighted to me by spiderman)
