Hi all!

glad to finally register here :D

My name is William, I am Singaporean but now I'm living in the UK for studies.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello to everyone here :)

It's a bit play cheat because when I left Sg, I was only on class 2b licence but when I swapped to the British one, they gave me the full bike licence :D

was so happy.

My first bike was the daytona 600 by triumph, then I sold it and got the MT09 and the 2000 R6 which I'm going to be using on the race track.

Totally agree. Stay put there. Do some touring with your bike and send some videos. Oh and do give isle of man a visit!

thanks for the reply guys!

been to isle of man already last year when they removed the speed limits :p went up to 140km/h. it was quite exhilarating. but abit scary, those guys that do the races really got balls.

it's okay i guess, the country roads in uk are nice to ride in but the weather sucks like ****..

140 kph going straight road with barriers beside u is one thing on NSH. When there is the possibility to drop down a cliff over 140kph is quite another..

Anyway, personally. I do not like speedsters on NSH..

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

Did you notice that the malaysian bikers are in the shoulders? only the bigger bikes are on the road. I thought i read somewhere its legal to ride on shoulders if you are riding.

Anyone can confirm this?

To TS, how is riding in UK roads? fun or hectic? How about riding in europe?

WoW! So nice, UK has lovely roads to ride. Though it can be bitterly cold with rain/snow in the winter. Was there last month, froze my a** off just walking around! Can't imagine how people can still ride...

But at least it makes riding with protective gear more comfortable than here!

It's freezing. No joke. Thought so too at first, but even with my winter clothes on (thermal gloves and all), I was so cold I couldn't even smoke! Hands can't hold ciggy! And you know in Singapore, when we walk past aisles with refrigerated goods in supermarkets? It's quite chilly? Over there, it's like a blast of warm air! The ambient temperature outside is colder especially if there's wind. How to ride?! But I see the locals still can tahan like no prob. London is full of bikes. Mostly Triumphs and BMWs. Japanese makes also quite popular there. And of course there are the ubiquitous scooters...still delivering pizzas and whizzing around in the way that scooters do. Haha!

But that's only for about 3 months or so lah. After winter, it gets much more pleasant. Near perfect riding conditions I'd imagine...
