hi all,

just want to share some information to all the brothers out there. i noticed that majority of the cubbers are using the wrong tyre size on the rims. most are using 80/90 (front) and 90/80 (rear) but do they know whether those tyres are really suitable for the rims? if the rims are small, the tyres are too rounded. i know that wide tyres feels damm good during cornering. ive done some research and found out that 160 (front) and 185 (rear) rims are the most suitable size.

for myself, i'm using irc wings gold series 70/90 (front) and 80/90 (rear) on a rim size 140 (front) and 160 (rear). the tyres works really good. as i travel for about 50km daily (home to work to home), the tyre size is good for so called distance travelling.

please share your views.

regards.

Long story but hope u guys can spare a lil time reading, help me out kind ppl...:(

Hie guys, im riding spark 135 and im using this brand of sport rims called Q bee bought from jb AGL for 3 months alrdy, 3 tier wavy type one, this problem resurface again. There is like a weird sound like "teng" "teng" "teng" coming from my rear rim braking area but it seems like my rear brake is fine. each time when i slow down on gear 1 or 2, the sound will be very loud and went i brake, there is like something hitting my rear brake lever.worst if i have pillion, the sound will get very loud. This prob will come and go. have change my rear rim bearings twice in the space of 3 months.the mech says it is spoilt, does it spoil that fast? n he says maybe my rim hub may be the cause and is spoilt and eats up my bearings as he also fines that it is easy to slot the bearings into the hub with just 1 and 2 knocks it will fit in and i also felt like my bike fishtail a lil sometimes when i do corners. so is it true that my hub is spoilt or sports rim hub can spoil..? any kind pple can help me out with this..appreciate it loads..if yes, i will have to chge rims again..

Hi guys, can i seek help from yous? i would like to change a new pair of rims for my spark, considering wether to get the original 5 sticks black yamaha rims or racing boy 8 stick white colour with chrome on the side rims, which is recommended for this two, both are beautiful rims i must say, where is the best deal to get in S'pore? went over to jb ah gua lane,ah boy shop about few weeks ago and ask, they quote me 240RM for the yamaha ori rims and 220RM for the racing boy rims, is the price ok? kind of 50/50 to believe them and not sure of the JB quality also..:) hope u guys can help..thanks loads.!!

hi guys, for spark, u can go to ah boy. he sells this racing boy 8 spoke sports rims. my brother just install. around $90 plus installation. dun need to go jb. but if u want to spray paint yr rims, ah boy (jb) can do it for u for an extra rm70, i tink. cheers.

basically the 8 spokes rims comes from malaysia, of cos the best place and cheapest is for sure jb ah boy. but got to take note of the tyre size u using, as the rim is wider dan the stock rims from Enzo(5 spokes arrow shape) of cos it gives a more stable and smoother corners, but might scrap your front fender...
