Yes it is an offence since the double yellow governs the whole line right all the way throughout the corner of the drain.

That zone is demarcated as no parking zone, even if you stop next to the double yellow lines, it's still counted. You don't have to be touching it . It means no parking.

Supposedly the back wheel doesn't touch the double double yellow line then what offence is that??

Double yellow line = no parking at all times on that road.

If it's within a private estate, yes. If you talking about the small patch of space behind the drain cover next to the entire stretch of road with double yellow lines, all I can say is good luck trying to convince lta that's a legal parking spot.

The very least it's a $25 fine (iirc)for parking anywhere other than in an approved lot. If they wanna be niao, it's $70 for double yellow line.

If you're adamant that is a legal parking area, feel free to appeal to lta. They're the ones you need to convince.

at the end of the day, people here all agree that the only reason why there there is no double yellow line there is because of that longkang cover. all the other situations you talk about, what continuous white line and whatever, are all perfectly valid. but in that picture they just stop the double yellow because of the longkang rather than attempt painting on the metal grating. but ur here trying to argue on that technicality and you expect people to be patient?

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

I wouldn't bother arguing with LTA.

They can easily summon you more for committing three more offences.

5. Failing to stop a vehicle close to the edge of the left-hand side of the road

7. Stopping a vehicle without facing the direction in which the traffic may lawfully move

8. Stopping a vehicle on the right side of a two-way

road

Want to see a long Kang painted with yellow line? Btw, you just justified yourself to be impatient if someone asks a question u deem stupid. Careful. Your ignorance may cost you. So what offence will u book? Dyl? When there's none? Ridiculous rite. Rear wheel touch but most of the body never, how can say bike in dyl unless u book for the wheel only lor.

I tink u got a v simple mind to think beyond the lines so it comes across as stupid to you. If you are the officer booking. What offence will u give? Thats my question.

go ahead and park there lah bro. nobody else thinks this situation is worth arguing with you or LTA. my ignorance may cost me but its not my bike parked on the drain cover insisting its legal.

Give you double yellow line, half price for 1 wheel. Call PUB, obstruction of access to utilities, I'm sure they have some kind of summon for that. Call HDB, parking anywhere other than within approved lot. 2.5 summons ai mai?

No?

Then go ring up the relevant departments to enquire. We're not as S.M.A.R.T. as you are. Pls enlighten us. we eagerly await.
