I dun mean to be rude but there is quite a number of shops in d list n nobody can rmb d addresses frm d top of their head.

 

Jux google the shop's name and u shud be able to get d addresses quite easily. Now google map even have streetview function so u can see the actual plc beforehand.

@naim, yes i googled and went to the address For Planet Motor Cycle Service #01-430, 3007 Ubi Road 1, (S)408701 Tel: 6747 4740 during lunch time today, but i was not able to find the workshop.. i just want to change my battery as I went around at get quoted $40 to $75 for battery change. Those shops that quoted higher ones said their battery is good ones... is there a difference in battery quality??

 

thats why i asked for the address as I though i might go to the wrong one..

U r the guy from malta ryt? U can order ur chain from wemoto.com. Quick delivery from d UK. For length of chain, best to check wif ur mechanic.

Dats quite ex. Im using swift o-ring chain from wemoto.com for only abt 40 pounds = 80 sgd. so far so good.

fork boots im nt sure. when u say balancer + mirror do u mean bar-end mirrors? if u want, ebay got a super huge range. try to get those that don't stick out too much. i had a dragbar on my phantom + bar end mirror = misery in traffic jam! used it for 2 weeks and took it off. looks nice but not practical in singapore wen u nd to lanesplit 50% of the time. the more expensive brands though have foldable type. maybe u can see see look 1st.

Probably just ur speedo cable. Most bike shop shud have. I changed mine at a neighbourhood bike shop for $25.

I use this tachometer on my phantom.. abt $20+ frm ebay.. jux wrap d cable ard ur spark plug cable, n mount. No wiring to mess wif.. runs on its own battery.. nt d nicest looking, but functional..

 

hey naim, on the tach meter u installed, just wondering what happens after 9999 rpm? i just got the same meter on ebay and installed it.. and the value that it reads is surprising low (200-500+) when im cruising on expressway at 90km/h?

nv exceeded before. i tink at ard 6500 i was already at 130 on the meter. so shud be sufficient. not sure why urs so low, but probably u check the part where u wrap around the ignition cable. if not, might be urs is meant for more than 1 cylinder type. dats all i cud think of.

that's weird. maybe the reading is off even after i shifted the wiriing. the value is so low sometimes it doesnt detect any spark at all at goes back to hours mode! i only spot such values at gear 6.. doesnt happen with gear 5 and below! i change gear at around 6.5k rpm usually so i not to sure whats going on.. going to get another meter of ebay to try =D

Wah buy another one? I fin hving tach only useful cux i service my carb myself. Easier to check d idling speed. Normal riding dun rly nd ah. Haha

yeah.. juz get a cheap one around 15 bux just to keep a check on my riding as well as the idle speed..

'cos recently i overhaul the top end so kinda determined to observe my riding habits with the tachometer.. plan to keep this bike for sometime so must take good care of it!

 

on a side note, im not so familiar with motorcycle tachometer behaviour during riding and between shifts so trying to learn!

when i was learning to ride at bbdc the cb125e they changed to didnt hv a tacho! everything was by sound of the engine so not too sure how hard im driving the engine!

Trust me. U will knw wen u r pushing d bike too hard! Haha! The engine will be screaming and shake u like hell to tell u to slow down.

looks like i hvnt hit the hardest yet! hit 110 on the meter i ham already! LOL
