hey guys.. the max laden weight for phantom is 12X+ kg. however, i myself is already 90+. soo. if i still pillion people.. and exceed the 12X. to maybe 160+.. will my suspension break?

is the stock one really the only option i have..?

or regardless of what suspension i choose it will still give way very fast?

if i get the stock shocks, do i have to change the setting to 5-hardest?

i only pillion on the weekends..

don't worry too much about the suspension... you can simply adjust it to the hardest level...

the downside of the high laden weight is that you would probably have to service the suspension a little more often... but then you only pillion on weekends so I guess it won't affect much

yes... of course suspensions can be serviced since they have oils in them for the damping effect...

it won't hurt your bike, but you would have a more responsive (albeit rough on the butt) ride...

I am fat and I have three boxes too, but I ride at a bouncy setting 3... it would be unstable if the lean angle is too extreme but I have no intention to go that low anyway :cheeky:

although the oil damper might be spoilt... the spring is still there... so of course it would rebound, but it just means that the suspension is very soft now... so don't try to lean low at high speeds... slightly uneven ground can cause a lowside with suspension being too soft...

ride safe
