Anyone faces the problem of unable to host games using wireless modem.

anyone got the problem of unable to create games because of using wireless modem. are there any ways that i will be able to host games? i heard from someone that there is something called portforward. but i dont really know wad it means. any advise for me?

It is advisable to use LAN Cables if you want to play multiplayer games due to the limited speed using wireless. It will be worst if you are hosting on wireless.

Anything's possible...wireless modem, wired...

 

It's the speed and the range of Wireless itself that can cause the game to operate lousily or to not get any connection, as compared to when all computers are network-wired

hamachi works great yeah i agree but also check if ur firewall (like zonealarm especially), is not the culprit

Have you unblocked the program from your firewall?

 

Portforwarding might help too. Go to http://portforward.com/routers.htm for step by step instructions on how to portforward.

 

Worst come to worst, bring your laptop to the modem and connect it via USB/Ethernet

u nid to do port forward, mayb u can tell us ur modem brand then can try to get u a step by step procedure for u to port forward...
