Hi guys!

My first post here.. was hoping if anyone has got any idea roughly how much the YZF-R125 costs in the market right now? Not really on a budget, but if I could save $$, I'll save =D

(I'm a P-plater with zero riding experience, 24 years of age)

Am intending to get first hand.. most probably will stick to this bike at least for the next two years after I graduate from school.

Btw, okay to put any box on this bike? Will the bike topple while on stand? LOL

Many thanks in advance!

First hand YZF-R125 minimum must have around 11,000 and more... (*estimated machine price)

Do you mean Top Case for YZF-R125? Not sure if there's suitable bracket for R125, if there ain't one you can always go for customization. OR you can choose a backpack for storage purpose.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

wow.. your estimation is quite accurate!

I do bring a backpack everywhere I go but most of the storage space is being taken up by my laptop.

I just need a little bit of space to put some additional things like a raincoat, helmet or parking coupons for example.

chiaph::

Well if you're getting a first hand bike like me, be prepared to fork out close to $15,000.

This includes the insurance plus all the other miscellaneous costs (i.e. COE, card reader unit etc).

No news for any 2nd hand ones, though..

It's quite steep for a student... uni fees already not cheap.. =/

See how loh

Perhaps you can consider bag which can be attach onto the tank/pillion seat?

Hmmm I still believe there are ryders which are comfortable for small displacement bike, no doubt its expensive but its styling are one of the best so far. Certainly a head turner.

some people can wait, some people can't wait,

some don't have the leisure to take class 2 due to work or other constrain, anyway if want to ride might as well ride a bike that you really like?

if its such a good bike why are u selling yours?

if its such a good bike why are u selling yours?

there can be quite a few reasons for doing so..

1) he wants to put a box and thus looking for a bike that looks decent with a box?

2) he wants to try touring so he's looking for a bike suitable for touring?

3) he wants a bike that is more comfortable for his pillion?

4) he wants to upgrade to a bike with more power?

5) he wants to change to a bike with a different riding posture?

6) he is just itching for a new bike?

just because he's selling it away, doesn't mean that the bike is not a good one.

If he cant sell off his bike simply because it's a good bike, people like me will be screwed because not everyone is willing to pay 15k+ for a brand new R125. hahaha.

lol indeed =)

I want to sell it cause i have no extra cash to mod this bike, i believe someone else will utilise it better.

Thirdly, i want to save some money by upgrading to a second hand bike.

The bike value will always be there, because there is such a demand in the market. Similarly to the KTM Duke 125 and the FZ16.

I really hope thats the real reason. I have seen a few cases of r125 being on sale with low mileage and a cheap price like yours. it makes me wonder if the bike is really good. I almost bought 1 2nd hand when i first got my 2B it was selling at 8K with only 5k mileage.

They can't afford the monthly installment. Coz the monthly installment for 3 years is about 350+ a month. That's as good as getting a brand new S4revo. That's why the millage is low coz the moment they get their class2a, their switch.

Kindly alert me if you do see another R125 selling @ 8k with less than 5K mileage. I will gladly lower my price.

Also, 9k is not cheap IMO. If my price is cheap for you, then bro you must be really rich. (y)

Anyway i paid full cash and not on instalment.

sorry for the wrong choice of word, what i meant as "cheap" is that it is almost half the price of a new bike. the word cheap may not mean that amount of money is small. Like I can say a 180K 4 room flat is cheap, but saying that it means I'm rich? of course not, 180k is half the price of less than the current market value of course it is consider cheap.

Anyway i would not wan to continue this small debate. so good luck in selling your bike.

Hi there, I just have my class 2B bike licensee . And does not have any plan to upgrade to class 2a nor class 2. Hence looking forward to get a good class 2b bike. I am interested in Yamaha R125 and Yamaha R15 (Version 2). Do you guys have any idea of the price? and where to get it?

Since not intend to rode a 2A or 2 Bike, then just get R125. Big and sporty, Good FC, servicing also cheap.. 10k+ worth it if you gonna ride for long..
