I have tried the one motoring traffic camera website to check whether it's raining before riding out. Can also look at the traffic condition at the same time. Kind of like 1 stone 2 birds..

Bikee, I'm no speed demon. Just that by choice, you guys can ride way pass the 100km mark anytime you want, but probably chose not to. But for me, the choice is not even available, maybe yet.. so I have this aim to be good enough to at least ride at that kind of speed, so that I can also have a choice. But overall, I'll still choose to cruise at a leisurely pace. I absoultely love the feeling of riding my phantom, especially cruising on the expressway at 2,3 am at night..:thumb:

I love riding at that time of nite too...but wife nag..:dot:

Hope that u get used to ur bike soon.. see u someday.

just finished working on my bike for a good 8 hours... but it is necessary if I were to go any real places...

about two months ago when I first dismantled my bike and rewire it... there were a few areas that I have made mistakes in... this time round I was hell-bent to reinstate the electronic system that I had in my mind initially...

during the two weeks that I was away from singapore... I started to work on the electronics wiring diagram again during my free time... and completed it a few days ago here. but theory is still unproven, so I have to get on with it...

ok its late and I am getting tired... I shall cut it short...

two mysteries stumbled me for a while, but eventually the root of the problems were found and properly rectified...

for those who once complained that the little bike's tail section have a horrible lighting system... now it is perfected... :thirsty:

and it would be testing day tml locally, the day after at mersing and the day after the day after at sg selai!

thanks wesone_3 for visiting my "bikeshop" just now... good that your bike runs fine again!

ha... now the tail section have so many wires until its totally crazy... :cheeky:

Sorry I totally change subject

Our National Environment Agency friends have stopped updating their excellent "Rain Locations over Singapore" page, a very useful page for all riders.

Rain Locations over Singapore

Anybody knows of a valid replacement page for this?

I have tried the one motoring traffic camera website to check whether it's raining before riding out. Can also look at the traffic condition at the same time. Kind of like 1 stone 2 birds..

Please do read Phantom Knights Directory - PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING!...

I have just saw the bike... anyway the unit was #01-448...

it is matt black, the metal parts are shiny, and the seat is wrapped in brown "crocodile leather"

it is a FP plate bike... looks good for its age...

however I didn't ask the shop to start the engine because I won't know what to look out for in terms of sound...

FP plate sounds more logical. It couldn't have been a 07 bike based on the advertised price. Sounds good, but KIV first. I'll probably start doing rounds at the motordiams after April when I'm back from my trip.

Thanks!

Anyone here rides with bulky cargo?

I have 3 givi boxes on my bike. Quite often when I go fishing, I'd bring along my foldable beach chair and tied it to the bike. The chair protrudes beyond the rear tail light. Sometimes I bring 2 chairs when wifey comes along. So the total cargo becomes 2 pax, 3 rods, fishing kit tool box and 2 beach chairs, pretty heavy..

Has anyone been stopped by tp for long cargo protruding behind the bike?

Posted

not a problem dude.. just that a long pole protruding from the rear better to just hang/tie a red cloth at the end..

Tie red cloth, maciam lorry lidat! lol

Your practical 3 go thru already? Is 2A much more challenging, even to a everyday 2B biker?

Posted

yup... cause so that other road user will know that its a pole... better be save then sorry right..

my practical 3 next week.. Yes more challenging as i'm not used to a road bike. as in cornering..

But weight is not a issue to me. cause phantom is more or less same weight as class 2A bike in the schools.
