this is like talking about those bikers who pay more just to add a few "horsepower" to their phantom or other bikes and try to make it go faster 5-10km/h or even demand more.Maybe they appreciate that phantoms should go as fast as cruisers should be.

WEeeee finally got my phantom~! Didn't know riding at night is so cold... So far so good... can't go abv 80 cause running in... Chain seems to be giving some kind of noise... can't really discribe it... hope it isn't bad... lol maybe if i can make it to Fri's petrol trip can get help from you guys to help look see hear heh WEEEEeee~!!

LOL. oh ya, i remembered my 1st night riding. Didn't really thought it was THAT cold. TRY riding in the rain. You'll be freezing, trembling, and fingers almost numb if u don't wear gloves.

Btw i'm now riding @ abt 80km/h at the highest gear (6th). The vibration from the engine to the handlebar like a lot like that. Its not a very hard vibration. Its very fine... as if the engine rev very high like that. Engine is suppose to be running in cause previous owner just overhauled. Is this normal?

was wondering why it can't cruise to speeds like 2 stroke ta150 just because its 4 stroke have to struggle to get up to 130km/h

its cold yea.. best to go to a mech to check your bike condition before you come over..planet or a* k**n would be trusty enough lol.. or just any shops you think won't hold a cleaver to your neck in case you need a change of chain or misc.

depends on what you need/want. can go up to 100+ or go as cheap as 10+

Take it easy bro, 80km/h will jus do fine. Unless your late for something important, like going to changi to grab a packet of nasi lemak before the shop close or something like that.

Other than that jus feel the wind and enjoy the scenery.

Is being on 4th lane very bad? because I'm been doing that for the past year somehow I find myself overtaking others sometimes even at 80 unless its raining.Letting others overtake you is okay. Give way or be given a bed in hospital, you choose

4th lane is most dangerous i think. with those optimus prime and stuff. i always overtake them quickly and them 'stroll' infront of them. Lane 1 is for those rushing for reincarnation. so dun take that.

 

i tink bike are suitable for middle lane. or lane 2,3. =)

 

Anyway in a SERIOUS RUSH! dun care which lane already. which lane lesser cars take which lane, and weave through. =X

If I see some friendly lorries on lane 4 then I'll just speed up a lil and overtake. Other faster phantoms ridden by uncles are suitable for lane 2 & 3 but not my phantom.I always get overtaken by uncles on phantoms

some youngster ride phantom super fast. my engine was roaring at 90kph (coz gear 5) see other phantoms cruise pass me. They like relax relax. but my engine is bursting. lol:dozed:

hiya .. ride safely usually i'm the one who tailgate back at those wave and spark unless i'm ferrying my gf or intend to travel relax

 

If you still continue squeezing .. one advice or few ..

 

always always always observe traffic conditions and cars in front and abit further up .. observe how they drive their car .. some tend not to signal to change lane ..

 

ride at a comfortable speed .. if you are not used to fast speed .. don't go to that speed

 

negotiate bends or turns, don't be hero to squeeze between cars as they might shift inner or outer of their lane .. unless you gena chase by some idiots behind you (WHICH IS HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED, let them past instead)

 

try to signal your intention with signal lights or , it might not known to other users what you are going to do BUT you are signaling them you ARE DOING something ..

 

Raining days do not speed or even try squeezing .. no need to ask why ..

 

this is based on my experience and I've shorten my life by doing all things ..

Lastly, my advice is .. do not squeeze .. ride your own lane but do not road

lol I don't wanna ride their style on this bike..this bike serves well as katar(thats what many said) and not lacing vehicles.They tailgate me I keep left lo..no harm slowing down and letting them pass lol don't think I'd cruise past you..maybe you'll cruise past me instead like those uncles

yah, yah, this wave rider ah some of them see us riding phantom like no up. Happen to me this morning to work.

I was squeezing in heavy traffic on PIE at 60km, then this one wave behind me keep ramping his throttle. My blood start boiling already, nevermind i let him pass thru, knn he then ramp beside me somemore. wahhhh buay tahan liow. So i play with this bugger, hunt behind him until he gave up and slow down. And wanting me to overtake him. But i stalled, when a 'KNOCK' on the helmet came behind me. 'ops' it's my wife....hehehe.

 

moral of the story: Always look behind before you speed...
