I heard X9 maintainence very ex and no more in production right, as it's taken over by X8? Hamster mentioned Silverwing is a better choice! Any updates/comments?

yup.. x9 maintenance is high but the ride is comfy according to my brother who used to ride x9.. silverwing of cos good.. but the machine price is ex..

I think it's 'yi fen chien yi fen huo' lor. I prefer to pay slightly more for better quality lor!

almost as comparative to Honda.

the quality may not be inferior to japs.

 

IMO, its just that inter-continental bikes, thou exotic, may not be able to suit to our local climate.

not just pin-pointing the weather as a problem source, bt it just plays a part.

rider riding style also more or less affects the bike's mechanisms.

 

As the Japs are asia based, they would tend to hv the asian mentality of what an asia rider wants.

also, they hv almost the similiar climate, sans winter for here, what they'll built would be ideally suit-ing to the asia countries.

 

& then there's the currency exhange rates.

¥ has always been strong against SGD $, & with the current economy crisis in the europe, € dollar has been deflating.

 

alot of factors comes into play when a manufacturer builds a machine, material costs, manpower factor, energy costs, oil costs & et cetera...

 

say, a Piaggio scooter maybe, as a whole mentality, may have alot of problems, but nt the Hondas, bt then, @ the end of the day, its still what one rider wants and needs.
