wahaha.. definitely not worth it for me to sell at that price.. you got to find a really good deal to find a 06 fz6 about that price.. 04-05 maybe can.. when i was searching for fz6s1 the cheapest was about 8k.. not sure which year though..

 

there was a 04 selling 7.5k no 1 buy for very very long time =X

den got 1 05 selling @ 8.8k with quite a few stuff on.. but kinda over budget for it..

no... its just that you can put different parts together...

 

endcan is just the last part of the exhaust. it doesn't do much. maybe if its port is smaller than the header / midpipe then it would help lessen the exhaust noise (true for most bikes)

 

converter lessens the harmful emissions

Look at it in another perspective, how much $$ are you willing to lose to pursue your passion in this temporary endeavour. Truly, is it going to be value-added to your experiences? Ever considered that "later" might actually be better?

 

My opinions,

Option 1: Not something I would do. A poorly maintained bike for touring is way too risky. 2nd question is that I wouldn't spend $$ fixing problems on someone else bike to which I have no ownership rights, just so I can borrow it for 6 months.

 

Option 2: Difficult to realize this. Not many will be willing to lease (COI?) their bike to a stranger so he can go touring. Even more so if you are narrowing your seach to a specific model of Fazers.

 

Option 3: The only one that is totally in your control & Will realize your actual dreams. Think about how much capital outlay you are willing to cough up to realize this. Selling price is not something you can worry about now as it is a matter of market forces. Guranteed to make a loss, but what price do you tag on the pursuit of passion...

Buy first, go touring, during BMT+ SISPEC/OCS + vocation course, layup the bike, until you settled into a unit. Then all you need to pay during the layup is the $5.35 layup paperwork fee and the parking, if you can find a condo to park, better, FREE!!!!

 

After you settled down in the unit, then undo the layup.

It's the standard things, inspection, renew road tax, insurance, season parking.

its not about laying up..

its many tell me that i go army wun have time to ride..

wat if after bmt i tio super on unit den whole of 2 year i no much time ride den i lay up 2 year meh? no right.

and even laying up for 5/6months is a problem, even 3 months i also tink its a problem liao..

 

bike no moving, everything no starting, all dry up, rust.......

i know ppl will come tell u, sub me la sub me.. i help u ride with alot of "^^" :angel:face -_-

 

how much i willing to spend, erm, if reali have to sell when i go army, i tink losing 1k should be ok for me after riding for about 6months or more.

provided the market price for fazer is still there, drop in 1k price i tink should be reasonable.

 

now i jus continue to chiong work and work harder to save money 1st..

when pass my class 2 see how much cash i have den i re-budget myself lo.

mayb i can drop the idea of side box(save 800, which the box will cost me), jus having a top box plus a tank bag should be enough..
