But no matter how hard you mod your cub , you will still be slower than those big racing bike. Why waste money? Anyway we bikers are oridi faster than those cars even without modifying .

Ya , i mean we are faster when there is road congestion and traffic lights. But other than that only we lose out at uncongested expressway in which only happens during off peak hours or public holidays.

Brother, ride within speed limits lah. Better be late than never.

nope its drum brake dude.

To change to disc brake conversion u have to purchase

a new pair of rims and the disc brake kit. like calipers, brake pump, brake disc etc

oh okiez... where can i purchase the itemz you stated?

and why do brake conversionz?

not neccessary only spokey can install rear disc the only factor is due to the hub dun have the hole for the disc so if u get a set of rims with rear disc hub dat will do the job! but i got another idea as i feel dat those mod are not really safe... as i have too many friends who have jam before...

another way to go about doing it will b wait for the swingarm and rims of the x1-r to get the rear disc kit as from wat i inspect both having the same specs!

erm i dont think need to change swing arm, we can just the 125z rear brake system just drill a hole to hole the caliper bracket only, even see one spark 135 did it before. as for the pump you will have to find a way to mount it so the pumping is smooth.

now u know modding a bike is never ending... once u mod a part it will link to many parts to fully utilize the bike

I believe that y0s_bikey is a very very experienced person in modding.

So i would say the usual chinese proverb.

"Bu Ding Lao Ren Yan, Chi Kui Zai Yan Qian".

Meaning, if you dun listen to experienced person, its your disadvantage.

Certain things i would say guys u can really spend money on.

-Racing Cdi

-Racing Footrest

-Aftermarket Suspension

-Oversized Disc Brake

No point doing up ur carb, porting your block, big boring, change pistons, cam and shaft etc etc.

You will end up visit the petrol station more than you can imagine.

Perhaps when u racing parts eventually wear and tear, or setting gone.

You have to spend the hassle of time and money to re-do and wait again.

Unless YOU ARE SPONSORED by some shops that deals with RACING or you

are simply a "RACER".

Just in my humble opinion (dun flame me lei.. :cheeky: )

Cheers and Out

Ash.

If really want to mod your bike. Make sure let the real expert do it, especially the brakes. It is very dangerous if your brakes are not working properly.

Whats wrong with the drum brake behind? Drum brake is the last and only hope if your hydraulic front brake leak oil. Those pump and caliper piston seal will leak oil as it wear off. So you need to take extra care and money to maintain them. As for drum brake, just change brake shoe can liao, no seal to take care and no need hydraulic oil.

And one more thing, you cannot claim insurance if your bike is modify without using the aprroved, certify parts from manufacturer.
