Brake (Front/Rear)

Rear Disc brakes doesn't help much on Cubs.

 

Because your rims are meant to use drum brakes.

 

Unless u change to Racing boy rims or urs is a 125z one.

 

Braking effect still applies but not to the extent of ski-ing your rear tyre.

 

However, those who change racing footrests are "racer" because they claim,

 

they dun need rear brakes. Hope what i typed helps.

true..but actuallt rear brakes are very inportant! as too mech of front brake will cause locking of front wheel!

hey guys, a question to ask. my front brake there is giving a squeaking sound everytime i travel at gear 1 to 2 whenever my handle bar move left to right even a little. but i juz change my brake pad. the mech had grind the pad slightly. cos if not it bites onto my disc plate. mine is a oversize disc. but i use the pad for 2 weeks le and its still squeaking. guess it has been bedded but still squeaks. ani solution to tis?

maybe ur disc brake warp??

 

try spinning ur front wheel..does it rotate freely??

 

and how come only gear 1 and 2??

 

isit after the 2 gears you can t hear it??

nope, my front wheel cant really rotate well. but i didnt had tat sound previously before i changed my brake pad. its a bit embrassing when coming to a stop or moving off cos the sound some times is quite ear penetrating. yup, oni when engage in gear 1 or 2 den the sound is clearly heard. btw, pyro, u knoe the price of a oversize disc plate? not the one wif design but fully rounded one. thx thx!

yep.. strokers shop charges 100 wit installation..

 

i tink can hear at gear 1 and 2 as ur speed is slow and no wind sound.. maybe wat happen is tat the brake pad have eaten ur disc..

 

try going to a reputable shop to verufy it..

yup he does change EO, oil filter, spark plug all that...his shop only open after 8pm onwards...

 

Ashcroftx: u want to know more abt CDI u can ask stroker...he can explain to u...from wat i know the CDI can increases the top speed of the bike...

do maintenance and servicing...like change EO, oil filter, spark plug, valve clearance all that stuff...
