Shop is Blazer Electronic Centre at #B1-17 Sim Lim Tower.

I need to highlight again that their Garmin Legend Cx comes with 64Mb card, and not 128Mb. So it's cheaper than Perfect Watch for a reason. Blazer doesn't carry Legend Cx with 128Mb.

i saw the GPSmap 60Cx and fell in love with it...

 

anyway they r having a 10% discount so i got the unit for $785 with 256MB card...

 

hope i din get chopped...

 

 

 

 

anybody bought the power cable or mount for bikes?

would like to hear comments and reviews...

 

like what kind of power cable? -- the cigarette lighter kind or the kind that links direct to battery (saw on internet)

 

and mount to make at sengkwang?or diy?

aiyo... u kenna chopped already. even with "20% discount", u can still find a better deal than it..

 

depending on ur usage, for mi I get a cigarette lighter type as I use it for both car & bike, even though I never use it on bike so far, had been using rechargerable batt since day 1 for biking.

 

wat bike u riding anyway? maybe u can get original Garmin mount 4 bike or u could get a ram mount, it's more versatile than custom made @ sengkwang.

was tinking of getting the cigarette lighter type but i suddenly thot of something...

the unit is supposed to be waterproof right?

but is it still waterproof when plucked in the cigarette lighter power since the socket is exposed??

 

i m riding a bmw rt n the bars r not really suitable for the original garmin bike mount so was tinking of either a custom rack or diy rack since i dun tink i will use it all the time...

Presently I think best price from ST Electronics but nid 2 wait 4-5wks for indent, no ex-stock. Heard from a source tat price from shop (dunno wat name) in SLT basement quite competitive too. (@least cheaper than Perfect Watch)

 

Well, certain topics did mention about Perfect Watch in MalSingMaps but so do ST Electronics & STS Communications, think u might 've missed it.

 

As for external power socket, nvr cross my mind b4 'coz I'm using rechargeable batt but guess should b fine with power socket, but not mini-USB nor serial connector. If u take a look @ power socket area, u can c tat it's well seal up.

 

In tat case y not u get a ram mount? any setup combination is possible.

I worked in ST Electronics at AMK, their prices can NEVER the be cheapest, and it's not their business to do GPS retailing. Even for myself, I get my GPS outside ST Electronics.

yes, u can use aviator models for land navigation as well.

 

Think u r refering 2 data cable which connect GPSr to computer. U may want 2 try SLT or SLS, they've quite a few shops dealing with Garmin accessories..

All GPS can be use for touring, however I would only recommend GPS with color display.

hi hunkiedave. u may want to consider getting a bluetooth GPSr, eg Garmin GPS10, together wif Garmin Que for ur palm.

as far as I knw, not all models wif "Software Missing" prbm can b fixed locally, nid to chk wif ur lcl agnt. if not then nid to send back Garmin Taiwan.
