Side Plastic Fairings for S4

Heys guys,i have seen before a number of S4 with side fairing covering the side of the engine,may i noe where can i buy the side plastic fairings from??

bro,from scrambler website ppl often sell, i not sure if i am allowed to put their webbie here and advertise for them.

 

Many different types though ask ppl with the shroud what type they using specifically so you get the want you want... gimme your email if u want i can send you a pic of mine i using SX shrouds which i bought from a guy for $50, DIY stickers for around $12, and DIY mount for around $10.

spray it to the color u like, paste some stickers and voila..

also one thing that concerns me is that if we put the shrouds covering the engine are will the engine be easy to overheat when we ride for long periods?

anyone know of any active scambler websites so i cn try to find the ktm shrouds cheap?

hey there.. if ur lookin for shrouds, go to bike accessories. its a kinda new shop. in front of chiap lee upper serangoon road. if u head along mustafa ctr u shuld be able to spot it. d shop is after SHELL. as for pricing, its 120 (new CRF 07 shroud) inclusive of brackets n screw. look for AH Chong. had mine( aloop shroud) fix juz now for 40 bux. mite be a bit x but im satisfied wif the workmanship. juz my 2 cents though.

hmm dunno bt tat, a fren of mine has shrouds and he's a frequent rider up north ( thai, kl, malacca) never heard of overheating before. bt juz in case use a gd coolant n regularly check ur coolant level. mite help. bt at the end of d day, to each of his own taste. cheers!

didnt notice any ktm shop whn i went tamp safra last time. can gif more description. i thinking if i buy the shroud then gonna cut some holes sort of like to customize so will be a bit cooler.. think that is a good idea? since 2nd hand cheap shroud so no heart pain to modify2. heheh

u can find either in scrambler forums or like mentioned above, scrambler shop behind tamp safra.. there's a couple of scrammy shops there... arsonist, very true... customize it.. let's get creative... hehe...

eh since this thread quite active dun mind i ask u guys something - i want to spray my hugger and belly pan to the spec 1 blue color. u know what is the closest match? very sian i open a new thread and like got no response AT ALL! lol if can i wanna diy spray and lacquer. mebe next year if the general paint become chialat then can send for a full respray.

hmm hard to find an exact match for spec 1 blue.... mayb what u can do bro, get urself a d closest matching can of blue spray... then u spray on a sample surface to compare the blue to that of ur bike.. if its too light, try a coating of black first n then blue over it... or if its too dark, try a coating of white first n then blue over it... just my 2 cents..

hmm will that work if i coat with white then coat with blue? wont the color still be the same? maybe i will just send to jb shop to airbrush the same color instead. so far whenever i try to spray there will be like ugly veins popping out of the paint. mebe bcos of too much coat or nvr wait long enuff for it to dry properly.

the shop's name is Dirtwheel, u can see alots of KTM banners..

ktm's plastic is not easy to cut thru.. unless u got the right tools..

okie thanks for the info valente19! for cutting purposes i think i will do that in jb instead. things like this mebe can do for free there but sg shop will always wanna charge a stupid price for such small things.

cutting tool i juz use wire cutter.... make it smaller abit... sand paper bit and spray and put sticker.... good luck.....
