2b sportsbikes helmet holder/clip is safe enough to hold a helmet while riding. You can keep it locked there when you park, but others can use penknife to cut your helmet and take it away though.Still many keep their helmet locked that way.You choose ;)

Carry your helmet with you.

I never lock my helmet onto my bike..... never ever did and never will. Needless to say, I never ever had my helmet stolen in all my years of riding.

But... if you are too lazy to carry it or find it cumbersome then you run the risk of having your helmet stolen, be it locked to the bike or in the box.

Even if the helmet lock on your 2B bike is made of pure titanium and is 10 mm thick, it will all still be pointless.

They just cut your helmet strap and leave the D-ring as a token of appreciation.

A box is safer but no guarantees.

yup, box can still be broken into. with lock also can be picked or knocked off.

nothing is safe, except bring it around with you.Just don't leave it somewhere and forget

hi,

i ever parked my bike at changi airport T1 while i went overseas for work for 1 week.

put my cheap LAB helmet in my box while i was away.

when i came back after a week, my box was broken into and my cheap LAB helmet stolen.

even boxes can be breaken into at a place where i thought leaving my bike for a week is safe.

I use a small steel cable to secure my helmets to my bike. It's definitely cuttable with a cable cutter but at least I force the thief to bring around a 1m long tool.

Essentially, if you're not one of the easier targets in the bike lot you're normally much safer. Also, try not to leave expensive helmets or attention grabbing helmets on the bike. Simple black or white designs stand less chance of being stolen, better if they are scratched up and dirty. :)

read this thread regarding hazard of riding with helmet locked to the side

Why riding with a helmet on ur side can be a Distatster!

if you're parked and want to risk it being locked there, its eventually up to you

i do see a lot of riders who leave their high end full face helms locked to the bike with a heavy duty chain / good quality bicycle lock through the visor port.

Grounded... :/

carry the helmet with you.

you can use it as a weapon.

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.
