Civic VTEC!!! Enjoy

The B16A VTEC is a very good engine and after 10 odd years, it is still very competitive.

 

This was a recent local Track day, doing abit of fun and testing.

 

Throughout the day, we managed to place our humble B16A Civic in the Top 10 cars but unfortunately during the last timed run of the day, I had to pull out after 1.5 laps due to another broken fan belt. This effectively ended my chance to defending my top 10 placing and got piped to 12th place. Still 12th place out of 80 cars is a pretty good result if you compare the other cars we were up against.

The cause of the torn belt was due to an off I had where the car when straight into the Gravel Trap. Gravel must have got trapped and destroyed the belt.

Yes, an EG6 - Well, more accurately an EG5 converted to EG6.

Mods...just the standard, Intake, Exhaust and Cams.

sometimes its not the car but the driver.

recently i overheard this guy driving a WRX STi saying 'My car so powerful...'

firstly...when u drive a singapore car..please dont brag...a 3rd world taxi cud eat u up anytime.

2ndly ...brag only if u dare bring ur car to the tracks...real racers r there, man or woman.

3rdly....no matter how powerful ur car is...it still depends on the driver.

Ok lah the B16 in the era was power..and also now due to stricter requirements, i dun tink we can get any new car of the equivalent specs anymore.

 

Pulling 160 bhp stock for a 1.6L car seems the yesterdays

 

Now 1.6 Swift sports only giving 125bhp
