The bike is simple and easy to maintain. Only problem is that she is slow On the expressway I am riding on the left most lane.

 

The bike is a cruiser. Nothing much is more enjoyable than taking her for a ride on the weekend down Upper Thomson Road. She handles like a cruiser so expect that much only.

 

Parts are cheap if you get it from India. While on the road, loads of people will check you out until you get tired of the stares.

 

All in all, she is a fun, reliable and fuss free bike for a carefree ride. If you need to rush, even a RXK will be faster and smoother

It is not THAT slow. She is comfort riding at 80-90km/h. After which she really start to vibrate like a whore to Snoop Dogg's tune. I hit 120 before.

 

But 80 is where she is most happy. Which is why I just cruise on the left lane and out of the way of all the Initial D and F1 inspired drivers on the road. I would like to see many more sunrise and sunset

Won't there be a way to 'do up' (Perhaps tuning or watever) to mk it go a bit faster?

Not tat I'm a speedster, but at least cruising at abt 100km/hr sounds better....

 

Reali love the looks of the bike. Only turn off is the spare parts...either u get it fr U.M or u source it ursef fr India....the latter will probably be much cheaper but more troublesome.....

 

Wonder if anyone selling theirs....will only buy 2nd hand and not fr U.M

Does anyone know if the Machismo 350cc (aluminium block) can be big bored or swap the cylinder block and piston to the Bullet 500cc?

Hey bros...

I used to ride a RE more commonly known as the Bullet 350 & it is a maintenance free bike. You can compare it to a Sportster but on the bulkier side. Fuel efficient if it is mounted with a Mikuni carb. I would love to own one but at the moment im riding a Sportster 883. I was browsing thru the RE website & i noticed that Universal does not sell the RE Classic 350&500. U guys have to see this model coz its more eye catchy.

The parts are pretty cheap in India & Universal should do a pretty good job or if you have a regular then any mechanic who can service a 4stroke air cooled bike can surely service your RE.

Any RE bros here rides a Machismo 350?

I'm contemplating to get one & got quite a couple of ques to ask u guys (hope u guys dun mind)

1) Are the Mach 350 in S'pore kick-start or elec-start?

2) Are the Mach 350 in S'pore ald fitted with frt disc brake or owner gotta upgrade (pay $$ of course)?

3) Although I'm not a speedster, I'm quite worried tat the bike will only go/cruise at 80-90km/hr. Prefer slightly more like 90-100km/hr. Think with the 18hp on the bike, I've to stick to the earlier (speed)? Any way to improve it?

4) Does Mach 350 comes with side box or saddle bag like the bullet army?

5) Any other reviews/opinion on the pros or cons of the Mach 350?

Good choice bro. They r indeed more exotic with the color schemes and chrome tank. Answers to your questions.

U answered the question yourself. Cruises fine 80-90. For speeds of 90-100 is possible (overtaking, etc though the engine's a little breathless). Any bike has room for improvements - speed, handling, etc but you'll want to factor in the fuel consumption portion (which is very good for the machismo - 40km/l).

Nope. unlike the army You're free to mod.

The mach is on an aluminium block unlike it's steel 500cc brother. The pros to that would be a cool bike for our hot sg weather with a quieter thump.

Is it the black mach they sprayed the entire engine with high temp silver spray? i wont touch it if i were u as the bike was left exposed to heat and rain for ages? if you got that, i'll suggest you ask them for some bike running warranty (to cover and replace parts). (if not u're looking at an overhaul real soon) watch out for rust in tank and water in the engine. (white & black smoke)

Darn, it is reali tat bike bro. Think other than asking for 'warranty' fr them, tats nothing much I can do liao cos I've paid for half the full price liao. Damn it man! Reali pray hard now lor.

 

The engine sounded ok when I was viewing it. Got the staff to start it for me to see see hear hear....sigh.....did I bought myself a lemon?

First ride fr bike shop to home. Shiok....finally got my hands on a vintage (vintage looking to be exact) bike.

 

Feels so diff fr those bike I used to ride. The vibration is one thing which I need to get use to man! So much so tat the images on the side mirrors also becomes 'shaking'......

 

The gear shift lever is diff too. Kick/step down for 1st gear. As for higher gears, I must use my heels to step down....I faced difficulties as I can't even rest my foot properly....heehee

 

Gotta hope n pray for the best tat all goes well for my new love.....

i rode mine ex re350 to malaysia(cant rem the place but is about 150km away from singapore) without any issues.

Yes Marco, I've read ur post n threads abt ur trip when u were riding ur RE350. Wanted to get the bike since then but cos of budget constrain tat time...so didn't lor. Now tat I chance upon this used (my current RE350) bike n it's within my budget, I quickly grab lor.

 

During ur ownership, did u do anything to the engine? Jus curious asking....
