Hey there guys,

 

I just returned from enrolling for my 2B license at CDC. Not sure if it's a good place or not, just that it's closer to my house. I went through the stuff they gave me and found a Photo Taking slip. Can anybody tell me what that is?

 

And it would be great if anybody can fill me in on what to bring for the first practical and theory lesson. All i was told to do was to be there an hour earlier. Any other information or help is appreciated.

You need a helmet and a pair of bangla glove (can choose not to bring the helmet , then u need to use the school's helmet which i took 3 day to wash off the smell) during practicals.

Theory lesson juz go there sit down listen the instructor niam geng and do the MCQ. No need to submit de. Go 2 times get 4 chop and you're allowed to book ur RTT ler. Try to book RTT asap... need to wait like 1-2 mths for it -.-

Hmmm, any type of helmet would do is it? Then guess i should go on a helmet shopping as i'll be taking up on your advice about the smell part. Haha! The gloves we can get from the centre right? Cause the only gloves i have is from my BMT times.

 

RTT is the Riding Theory Test right? And for that i need to read up on the the 2 books they give me which is "Basic Theory of Driving" & "Handbook for the Motorcycle Rider", am i right?

 

Terribly for troubling all the brothers and sisters in the forum. Guess i should have read up more before i enroll. Thruth be told, i'm panicking. Haha!

Any helmet that has the approved sticker on the back i forgot the name for it. Its the safety approved sticker.. something like that bah.

Gloves can be bought from the centre.. $1 each pair.

For RTT , just go more on the E-trial test will do ler.. cos the test questions come from there.. total has about 700 question , and 50 of them will be the test question on the real day. So the best is go there , try out all because answers is given at the end of each set. And the best thing is the E-trial test is FREE. The 2 book given i only read the traffic rules de.. the bike parts i never read hahaha.

Get a helmet (make sure have the blue PSB marking), a cheap one will do. And armsleeves, coz it be very hot (unless u intend to wear long sleeves shirt) both can be purchase at LIM AH BOY in Kelantan lane off Jalan Besar. A nice passport size photo. Get a helmet sling bag if you can, easy to carry your helmet + elbow and knee guards.

 

You need to pass RTT if you want to advance to prac6.. therefore you got up to prac5 to settle your RTT. But suggest u settle it asap. Read both the motorcycle and theory book. The motorcycle book can help you prepare for the practicals and the theory book for RTT. Practice and take trial tests, because RTT can be unforgiving and failing means waiting for at least a month to retake.

 

Wear thick jeans to handle a fall and please don't wear your $200 adidas shoes to the prac; coz most shoes i used for prac were ruined.

and those durian gloves, get from hardware store better. CDC would probably sell it for $1 a pair while most hardware stores would sell you 3 pair for the same price.

I'll listen to the brothers in here and get a helmet. Or rather i might borrow my grandfather's helmet. Haha! I don't want to be stuck with a stinky helmet.

 

Blahh bro, Would CDC be providing the elbow and knee guards? I have the helmet sling covered, my younger brother have one. He thinks it's cool to bring it to school. Haha!

 

And regarding RTT, i must complete my 4 theory lessons first before i can book that right? Can i wear other type of gloves or must it be those durian gloves? Cause i might have some leather glove lying around in my mum's room.

i dunno when's my lessons. I can't book any lessons online. What's the orientation about anyway? As you can see, i'm clueless with what comes next after enrolment. Haha!

Okie, I have the helmet. Clear visor though its a bit cracked at the side, would it be a problem? Working straps, definitely and it has that stupid sticker that's important.

the visor a little bit cracked should be ok, coz most of the time, u be riding w/o putting down the visor seeing its so f'in hot! (unless it rains of coz)

 

dey automatically put u thru orientation for first timers.. so dun worry bout dat. To book theory lessons, dun ur centre have kiosks for it or something? Thats how its done for BB and SSDC..

hahas. jus came back from prac and orientation. cleared it alr. LOLS! orientation is go there to show u the procedures for lessons, gear changing(instructor do), put bike on/off mainstand all these alr. then break wait for prac1.

 

do warm up wear guards all these.

 

prac 1 gt 4 parts i guessed. go round the mini circuit, then out to main circuit chiong up to gear 5, braking (long/ short distance) and do cornering. sth like fig of 8 liddat. used the antique bike. heavier than the newer ones. bike almost fall when i 1st push off the bike. lols... raining somemore. but feeling shiok. hahas.

Prac 3, coolness. At least you're nearly halfway there. Nov will come soon. You'll be taking same time as honda_lover. As for me, i can't seem to find a slot for theory in november even. Sigh.
