Got back from the shop juz nw..highest take back offer for stock R6 08 is 14K.

 

The rave now is R6 09 with full system and PC V can makan R6 08 with full system PC III/V like water..

hmmm i heard the 09's hv a lil bit diff mapping.they improve the mapping thingy.a lil bit power i guess? i dunno leh..only heard ppl say only.for me, i think 08 & 09 r the same only colours.2010 is comin so no use buy 09 sey.juz my imo..

By rite..its the same except for colors..but we must also note that bikes coming out from factory got a plus/minus 5% horsepower different..

 

U lucky..u get the better horsepowered bike..u suay, get the lowered one..

 

Even 2 same year stock R6 can makan one another..also depend on rider launching technique from standing start..if rolling start, also depend when u shift up to higher gear..redlining b4 changing gear also not a good shift up point..its best to dyno ur bike and see where is the strongest torque and hp and see which rpm is suited best to change gear..

 

In short..a lot of factors..so best to wait till R6 2010 or get 2nd hand R6 08.. :thumb:

Last year..i did offer people who wanted to get a brand new LV full system for under $2K..but nobody wanted to take that offer cos thinking i got makan a bit and they can get cheaper themselves..(that offer no longer stand now :dot:)

 

Now if ppl can get it for $2K flat..i salute them!!! :)

 

Recommended Retail Price for LV full sys now is $2.8K balls.... :faint:

Shop retail price is $2.2K to $2.4K..but must see if u can suck balls or not 1st.

 

Haiz..its so freaking ex now... :sian:

Hi bros.. I'm getting my cl2 in abt 1 mths time(hopefully), so am thinking of getting a '09 r6.. Is it not a gd deal now? since i've heard some saying wait till 2010 for the new bike(is it cfm?) better.. Would love some advise pls.. Thks :)

since all said 08 n 09 is very similar n revision of bike only come in 10.. if u r the type that can hold then wait for 10.. plus now jap bike should be more expensive said by most ppl due to yen exchange rate.

the speed is taken from the front sprocket of the bike.. so.. dis has nothin to do wif drag.. perhaps wear n tear has offset the reading abit..

 

Speedo reading is constant one..ur speed shd be the same as everyone else..

 

If u change bigger rear sprocket, at 6K rpm the speed will show 109-110km/hr also but actually ur are slower..if u change smaller sprocket, speedo will show the same speed but u are actually faster.

 

This issue have already been discussed..u must take into account parallex error(did i spell correctly??) also..ur riding posture will determine ur eyes level..higher or lower eye level will make u see differently(tacho needle)..
