We follow Europe colour. Only black, blue & white.

Correction.....Any vehicle w/o a catalytic convertor is not legal (less those ancient ones that does not come with a cat.. i.e. 21 year toyota starlet).

 

You will understand once your vehicle get impounded. Inspection of vehicle is mandatory at LTA/VicoM before collection/retrieval of your vehicle. W/o the cat, chances of failing CO is extremely high.

 

In layman terms, everything is fine unless you are caught....

btw.. r6 riders wif red seats.. how do u clean it ? mine is now lookin kinda dark and not tat red anymore..

im also waiting for the 08model, few dayz ago i called up HL to ask. the guy on the phone seem like dont know any thing just told me not here yet. email HL no reply damn! maybe i try calling them again on monday. i heard end of the mth will arrive also.

Hoping that it will arrive within end of this month because R108 is coming around this corner. Let's pray hard for that to happen.

Hong Leong very jialat, email they don't really bother to reply, you call them they also don't really know, they just tell you the end of this month or end of next month nonsense. :faint:

cant really blame HL.. it's not within their control to get the bikes by the time they give.. the bikes are in from japan where they are manufactured and assembled. it could be due to many many factors whereby shipment could be delayed..

 

like shipment missed the ship. not everyday got ships to singapore..

like order too big, haven't manufacture finish, etc etc..

 

HL is actually the middleman for yamaha in singapore. they just follow instructions from yamaha japan. they take info from japan and fwd out to you guys.. if no news from japan side, they also cannot give you any news mahz..

Agree with aRcHeR, this is just the same story for every new model coming into Singapore, usually the shops like to brag the eairlist possible date the bike will arrive but usually that is not the case, there will be countless delays, and i think thes model will have to pass inspection from lta before its allowed on the roads since they changed some stuffs in the airbox and the engine. Not too sure of this though. But Singapore will be the first SEA country to recieve these big bikes but usaually the release date is 3-5 mths after its launched in japan for sale on the roads.

 

Just to give you guys a heads up, not all those who booked early will get thier bikes cos, first batch is always in limited numbers and also each shop is entitled to 1-3 bikes (roughly) . Hence if there are 5 people who buy from the same shop there will be some who will have to wait for the next batch.

 

Shops will say they got book with HL but HL bring in less then expected, but thats sales tactics. Just wich you guys good luck on getting the first batch, unless you really friends with the shop then demand you want the first batch else you take back your money loh. maybe it will work. hehehe
