hi dere guyz... can i check wid u all wts ur bikes fuel consumtion.. mine i guess is pretty bad... full tank only goes 170clicks... den i tried pumpin 5 litres to c wats d mileage n it gaf me only 52 clicks fer 5 litres which means 1 litre oni 10 clicks?

ive got a qtn. aft a recent oil change the red light beside the yellow reserve light will turn on. what does that light indicate? it will turn on and off inconsistently and im kinda worried if its due to the oil change. im riding an 08 model btw.

 

Got the same issue, riding 08 model. It happens sometimes, when i asked the mechs they said its probably the engine oil sensor faulty. But double check the oil level in the engine (which i did and it was sufficient). So for my case its probably the sensor.

If its the engine oil Logo after u change oil not long no worries !!! If there is no leak below yr bike overnite , most likely is the float at yr oil slum got stuck n indicate low oil level that make the E.O come out .. I kana once at track after changing oil .. the day before no worries .. Another thing is to check yr temp .. Seeif its normal can liao ...

 

Yup just changed oil n get that problem but my temp kinda high. Very fast will reach 100.. Maybe I shld flush my coolant. Thanks!

My 07 model I whack 210.. Normal riding can hit 235 240 lidat eh

So far been using the bike for a month, no major problems and no error codes shown so i'll leave it until i go for valve clearance at the end of the month; and one shot get them to inspect if there is a real problem with the engine oil sensor. If there is i'll probably change it.

 

But do you have any problems riding the bike so far?

What kind of mods do you have on? And what's your riding style? Sometimes its a combination of several factors that gives a lousy FC. Even minor things like a carbon build up, or misaligned rear wheel etc.

 

From what i know the average stock FC for r6 should be 240km before hitting reserve.

my r6 2010 model with akra slip ons and decat mid pipe goin till 240km then reserve.. saving money for a pc5 and dyno soon which means mileage will drop unless make dual map and switch..

i do too get tat kind of consumption ard 180clicks wen i 1st gt my bike (2nd hand '07 model). bt after some electronics upgrades n FI flushing (using STP), i got back ard 210. bt reminder...using JB petrol & SGP petrol theres alot of difference u noe, even wif the type of brands. maybe some ppl jz cruise riding tats y they get 200+ (no offence), bt for me i wack it (depends on road conditions too). both petrol frm JB & SGP plays a big part if ure talking abt FC. bt well like most ppl say if u cld afford to get these babes, sure u cld cope wif the expenses. i too do sometimes get the grit out of it bt wat the hell....
