SInce u all talking bout light @ bulb, wanna ask sumthing. Few days ago, i hv install Voltage stabilizer, and a few "coloured oodometer light bulb" on my meter. And Few of them has higher watt than stadard. Total of 10.9 watt diffrance from be4 . Then i noticed tht, my top speed decreases ALOT!. From 120-125kmh to onli 105km/h!!. Wut happen? some ppl say tht installing too much high watt bulb could make ur bike slow. SOme say its onli the meterspeed eror due to the bulb high watt. Which 1 is true ho? if its onli the meter eror, then its ok 2 me... but if my bike is actually become slower, trouble for me lol...

 

huhu wat should i do... ny advice?

Hey mate - u better pay attention to the meter bulbs rating they be 10 times higher so problem is heat in yr meter. Meter bulbs are usually 1.7amps only. Your situation may indicate a excessive load on yr charging system resulting in a drag or lost of power. U mentioned 10.9 difference - i think tt is alot mate... halogen only use 6.5amps ............

I see. Wht About LEd bulb? Some ppl say tht LEd consume less battery energy. Wht if i put LED in my meter? will my bike get bak the power tht hv been lost be4?

 

Now tht u warn me about it, how bout head light? wave head light is 18 watt x 2. WHich is not to bright. SO i changed it to 25 watt x 2. Difffrance of 14 watt aiyoo. Any side effect? izzit not adviceable?

I tried installing normal T10 LEDs into a Wave 125 meter - cannot make it too dim. Haven tried the High Powered T10s yet.

 

The lost of power on your Wave maybe due to other reasons - not power consumption alone - do have it check. All 2B bikes have Headlights (not bright Enuff) problem. You must try our Crystal White HS-H6M 12v 30/30watt Halogen, side effect are Halogen runs hotter......

i did install halogen once. 30 watt. Waw hot. Almost make da refelctor to melt.

Pls comeby & let me have a look - we can try to DIY a replacement wire harness for u. I tooled a DIY HS-H6M wire harness already - quite easy to replace by yrself if u hv the right tools. It is P&P.........

ERm how do i know? erk i tot its written on da bulb. Aftermarket 1 haha. Brand Fuji...

---> Btw, last time i've bought tail light bulb ( also known as brake bulb ). BUt the bulb is not written in watt . But instead cp. What cp stands for? . The bulb write 12v 30/5 cp . . Aiyo so confius already. ( stupiak tail light bulb menufacterer... its easier to understand if dey put watt there lolx )

i check my wave manual on the specs. it stated 12v 18/18w for headlight..

i checked the cbr thread and i saw many posted bulb blown..some even blow in 1.5weeks??

Yeap, I think we had 2 of them that blown in 10days - so we offer 1 for 1 exchange mate. I will check those after i return & send them back to the maker in Korea.

so those that blown only blow the bulb or melted the connector inside? i have experienced bulb blown and melted the connecter for my late SP

 

cos i find out that its a hassle to change the bulbs for wave...need to dismantle many things. i don wish to change bulbs every few weeks or so haha.

Neone tried Magnum Fire halogen light bulbs? 12v 18/18w been using it for 6 moths and still didnt burn anything. Very bright as well
