Was down at minerva and saw white 848 and red one. The red 848 with black belly looks pretty good. Any one here owns an 848 already?

Me going soon to be 1 of this bike owner anyway need to settle something 1st before i can purchase this bike leh.Most properly is either i purchase from minerva or i go to bikeasia on april to purchase it.

Btw i did ask Excel cycle last week abt the 848 & he quoted me 31.5K all in but Ins not included & Minerva quoted me 32K for machine price W/O Coe & Ins.Wonder why there is a so much diff over the price?I know Excel is one of their dealers also.Now im a little confuse abt where im going to purchase the bike.

Get a FULL quote, meaning machine price plus all on the road costs, including Insurance, taxes, fees, interest rates, freebies etc etc. (Try asking for Termis or Arrows!)

 

For example, one bike shop might quote cheaper Machine + on the road costs, but you might have to pay more for insurance and loan interest, whereas another shop might give you a higher price for machine and registration fees, but you can save on cheaper insurance and lower loan interest rates.

Oh and One more very important thing, i believe the price of Excel is before GST. 7% makes alot of difference and Minerva's price includes GST. The bold numbers on the extreme right end of the pricelist

I think you should get it from Mary, more trustworthy... not saying Excel is not..Minerva is the distributor, not Excel.... better support I suppose...

anyway...848 is now $31,787 on road, a good price considering the HP that it is pumping as a stock bike...

and the 10989 is $40,135 on road... all inclusive of GST...

 

hmmm...advertising for Minerva.. i should get commission for this...hahaha

The guy who's selling his 999 changed to 1098s. I wouldnt say they do trade in but they are kind to allow customers to put their bike in the show room to display for sale, without charging a fee most of the time. Of course, if u are upgrading they will do their best to sell the bike for u at the best price considering u are buying a new one from them.

Hi all, am gona go take my cl 2 license soon and am looking at getting the 848 once I pass. But Im rather worried about the maintenance and day to day cost of owning this bike. Ive seen a few on the road and I love it everytime I see it so I guess I will definitely buy it when the time comes. So can anyone prepare me for what to expect when I do buy it? Thanks a bunch!
