cannot kick start leh.. not sure.. maybe i too noob =( .eh... i bought for $2300 for machine.. total $3200. btw, is a FR plate..

i used to go to soon hin bout minor2 stuff like tighten chain, pump air, down folk as its the nearest shop to my house.

i remembered changing the circular thing at the front rim where the cable spedometer is inserted. ive ask around yishun n sembawang n cost ard sg$30. but to my suprise, soon hin is selling at $40 sumore they took it from another 1st hand bike. ive no choice but to fixed it cos im selling my bike on the same day. the changing of the meter thing is done by david. i tried bargain but the resist. summore he said in chinese to a customer that im bargaining too much its no as if im buy alot of thing. im a malay fyi. he thinks i cant understand chinese. lol. thats the last time i went there. to those youngster, i suggest u guys avoid soon hin. but seriously, ah ming is a good mech. hes the one who does my down folk n everyting. but the price there is very unwise. to me every thing at yishun industry is damn expansive cos im a student. haha

Last time I like going to Soon Hin to fix accessories until I start going to JB. Ah Ming is a nice mech, but the David damn jialat. Always talk very loud one and most of the stuff there overpriced like sh*t. The other times I went back, Soon Hin got 3 shops leh! Stopped going there liao, Hum Heng is alot better for accessories and the "umbrella" shop has good workmanship too.

 

Overall, the next best place for North riders to travel to for engine servicing is Ang Mo Kio industrial, go to Eddie Ong's.

or you guys can try going to the shop i frequent... but until now.. i only do tyres there and usual maintainence lah...

 

Prices wise, i dun wish to comment much... but more of services lah...

 

its at Woodlands Link btw... in the JTC Industrial Building... level 1...

i agree wif bro refugee. the jtc shop is much better than soon hin. but don follow their advice too much cos some things that is still in good conditions, they ask to change.

the guy wif the smart hair in the jtc shop is very2 approachable.

Most shops charge around 20-$25..

sadded life.. ask my friend to check my bike today.. he say the engine's timing is off n the chain is loose n there is no rear brake pad (i can't imagine wat happened when i brake for the past 1 week)

I live in north area and used to go to Ah Hua at GHC. He's very good in scram and very friendly. Solved alot of my probs b4. Price wise quite ok but hes open to negotiate.. maybe northern bikers like to try go to him.

 

He's also the only mechanic that opens very late. Until 9pm or 10..

many many years back, when i 1st got my 2b.

i went there to look look see see, e salesman (i dun koe who's e boss) quoted mi 2k for a FM plated skipper. tat's e 1st & last straw.

i step out & never go in again.

 

neverless i got my ka-ta (FL plated skipper) few weeks later @ tampines for SGD600 OTR.

dun think he's gd sometimes. i went there once with my wave and he told me the chain tensioner spoil,tat's y got a funny sound, in the end change already still got that sound and after sometime,it's the piston that makes that sound.
