hi guys after monitoring my coolant water after removing the thermostat, it is all well and going no more overheating problem. now everytime i brake, when it is reaching full stop, i have this squeak sound from my wheels, first i suspect its the brakes but i have new pads. later on i jack my bike up to lub my chains, as i turn the wheels slowly. the squeaking sound came out. izzit my rear wheel bears squeaking?

mmm.. after changing my clutch plates, i still have difficulty changing from 5th gear to 6th gear. sometimes when i change too fast/throw clutch, it will give a loud sound and my bike will free gear until i up the gear lever up again.. very scary sound. what is the prob?

clutch assembly. those springs, nuts, metal plates and etc.

Is it normal for the voltage level to drop when the rpm revs up?

 

My voltage level (headlight off) was about 14.5 when idling (charged) but drops to about 13.5 whenever the rpms goes up. Be it due to reving or engine brake.

 

I've just changed my magnetic coil last week and my rectifier & battery is less than 2 months old. I've alarm & voltage stablizer installed. Tried taking out the voltage stabilizer but there's no difference.

not normal. ur idling kind of high. where is ur voltmeter connected to?

Idling at about 1.5 when warmed up, is that high?

 

Voltmenter is connected to some point in the headlight.

1.2 will be better. idling with head light off shouldnt show so high reading. try connect the positive to fuse and negative to batt negative.

no worries.. just adjust your idling to about 1k - 1.2k.. IMO, 1.5k a bit too high..

 

voltage with headlight off is at 14.5V.. normal.. mine also 14.5V..

our model is old, so dun have the cut off charging voltage unlike Bernard's FZ6.. max voltage for his is 13.5V if i rem correctly.. new bike then will have the charging voltage cut off function.. my voltmater also connected to headlight there..

 

you can also use a multimeter to test on your batt to see if the voltmeter reading is same as multimeter.. for mine, got about 0.2V diff at times..

idling should be 12+, charging will be above 13.

Voltage with headlight on (idling) - 11.8V to 12.2V

 

Voltage w/o headlight on (idling) - 14.0V to 14.5V

 

Voltage while travelling with headlight on - 13.2V to 13.8V

 

Voltage while travelling w/o headlight on - nvr try before, law abidding citizen

 

Voltage do dip and rise thru revving.. mine dip to 13.5V when i rev it just now w/o my headlights on.. and rised to 14.5V when i left it to idle..

anyway, i've been riding for a year plus with the batt, rectifer, magnetic coil i got from the bikeshop.. so far so good for a 8yr old bike..

 

items that been draining batt when bike is parking is only my alarm.. i've removed my voltage stabliser as i went thru the reviews and such, find that it's not really useful.. grounding is more than enough..

And when I put the bike back to straight up position, the engine will like wanna stall that kind but a while later it will be alright again. Can I check what's wrong with my bike?

ya they wont let u buy as the bike shop earn from the insurance but if i m able to buy thru other source at a no earn rate,can i get the insurance on my own?

if you have the log card with you , you can buy insurance yourself.

 

the log card izzit the paper from LTA saying which yr ur bike is register and all the engine info etc?

Hi guys, got my Vtec 3 few months back.

Recently happen to let go both my hand off the handle bar while riding.

At around 40 to 60 kmph, handle bar and front tyre will wobble quite badly.

At high or low speed, not obvious. Nothing significant during normal riding.

Anyone experienced before?

if ok, then bring 2 bikeshop. mayb ur cone bearing gone..
