so many new riders. welcome! do drop by during our DIY sessions to learn more about the bike like how to remove tank, how to remove tank in 3 mins, etc etc. one piece of advice, we all can help but the owner of the bike also must assist lah cannot just eye-power k. :thumb: as for tools, the tool kit is quite adequate unless you would want to do something major.

anyway i'll need help replace handlebar. anyone knows how to remove the handlebar grips without having to cut them? cos i want to use back the Harris. want to buy rizoma but later my wife will confiscate my wallet.

Screwdrivers and brute force.

Your grips are still stock right?

Its being held using glue. Just need a pair of strong hands and a screwdriver for leverage.

hey guys, what happen if i never clean or change my air filter??

Your FC, accelaration and general is usually affected.

If never change for years, the filer material will eventually break down and crumble, ending up in your engine as FOD.

The last part is what I heard before la. :p

should i change or clean? suggestion?

Btw you using stock or aftermarket,if aftermarket go clean and recharge lerrr,if stock ,might as well buy a new filter only cost 30 to 35 bucks, yes performance is better if it is a new filter

The only way I know how is to use an air compressor and a long nose air gun. squeeze it in between the handlebar and the grip and BLOW.

In Soviet Russia, motorcycle rides you!

Comeon guys lets be creative. I had a Eureka moment. For this we need many people. Each person will be holding onto a straw. The straws are connected at the end by a big tube. The idea is to use everyone's wind power (combined - hopefully) to create the pressure the same as the air compressor in bike shop. Do you recon it will work?

It depends on the what model it is. If the ABS 2009 model, then its dirt cheap. If its the older model, then I think it is alright (all in that is). For a machine price to be 15.5k only (if ABS 2009 - is OK), then ex if non-ABS and not 2009 model.

Coz for ABS 2009, all in is ard 18k if not wrong. Please correct me for those that bought the model.

Yen still got the power!!

nope. i'm using harris grips.. changing the handlebar is easy only the grips part. don't want to waste unneccessary money paying mechanics to do it when i can do it myself..

rien d'autre que le max.

razi's secret equipment, n a little of bone's secret soap from

his multi purpose garage. n u can try n keep twisting it clockwise till it comes out.

Hello xxiaoxinn.! Welcome to the club.:)

We here have alot of types of riders. For mechs, techs, nice guys, to exp ones.

n a green balls too. they will gladly help u n ur bike. we have D.I.Y on sundays

when it is called for. usually at woodlands.

If ur bike is 2nd hand, cld be ur steering cones like others have mentioned.

but do remember that all bikes are build diff. so all bikes turn differently.

For ur u-turn, if not well exp with the bike do a nice n slow turn. don't so sharp. bikes heavier than a s4.

but if wan like cool n steady turn n james bond, u can try shifting ur weight to e left n bike tilt right.

jus remember ur center of gravity. with time u'll get it right.

compared to all e bike's i've tried, so far gsr has e best sharp turning(u-turn with/without pillion) exp. due to it's wide rear tyres n longer handle bars, it actually give u a good balance.:)

Definitely but not really much..but performance wise shd increase as material is much lighter n no more honeycomb that blocks the airflow.
