Hello GSR guys.

After so long i've finally found a bike i love more then CB400. Its the GSR 400! Wow love it man. Super slick looks~ Sweet!

I'm still P-plate but gonna change it soon once i get my 2A. Anyone knows what's the current price for a new / 2nd GSR400..?

Thanks so much (:

new : 14.5k @ HL cycles

2nd hand : depends on condition and acc. (range 8.5k to 13.5k )

cheers

Hi guys long time no post here already. btw wanted to ask u guys for advice, i going to change spocket and DID chain this thurs at unique motor.. any brand of spocket to intro? was thinking of ISA(heard is long lasting) or afam and 525 chain(if i not wrong) 525 or 520 better ar? any to intro? thanks in adv bros :)

Do note, 525 adds more weight to the bike. It will last longer due to thicker chain. Alumininum sprockets vs Steel. Steel will last longer.

mine already 1.1k -1.3k RPM. If I am not wrong last time when I ride S4 at low speed gear 1 or 2 it can still move slowly and smoothly. ( if I am Not worng ), well of cos with cluth control no problem

Then its your clutch control. Anyway other components like battery, spark plugs, engine oil do play apart. The GSR400 manual did says that the recommended speed for lower gear are as follows

Gear 1: 0 ~ 40 km/h

Gear 2: 15 ~ 60 km/h

Gear 3: 30 ~ 80 km/h

Gear 4: 40 ~

Gear 5: 45 ~

Gear 6: 50 ~

Other than that, its on your throttle control already.

DIY SESSION GUIDE

Ohhh ya....before coming down to DIY session, please be prepared to get your hands dirty. No point coming to DIY juz to let others do it for you. You will learn nothing in the end.

As an unsaid rule, please read up or research on what you want to do. This will deepen your understanding on why some people tweek some stuff. Not doing so, you may not understand what it does, and this may affect how you handle the bike. It may cause unnecessary repairs in the end.....no need to say hahahha.

Things you may want to bring

- The Bike (MUST BRING)

- Yourself (MUST BRING)

- Special Tools and Tools (May not have the tools needed)

- Cloth/Rags (There I think have, maybe limited)

- Food/Drinks (Voluntarily)

- Manuals (If you are doing something which unsure of)

- Money (For food after DIYing)

So how have u solve the problem?

if ur bike can start then it died off when its hot, it could be due to ur rectifier.

if the panel says check, even when ur kill switch is off, side stand up, then it could be ur side stand switch.

if it cant even start, then it could also be ur fuel pump.

there are many factors that can contribute to it.

longest lasting is supersprox sprocket. i used it on my R1 for 4 years. using it on my GSR600 for 2-2.5yrs already.

people usually get what party insurance for first hand bike?

then how much will insurance be for this bike? lets say i am 19/20 years.. and 2a just passed. im asking for gsr 400  i am aware for an accurate quotation i will have to call the insurance company.. but i just need a rough estimation :)

oh ya and generally is insurance for cb 400 more expensive or gsr 400? i know there are lots of other factors involved that is in the insurance cost, but lets say if the other factors are roughly all similar?

Comprehensive. I am still on comprehensive, to protect my other items on the bike. You can get 3rd party insurance, if anything happens to the bike, cannot claim from your insurance lor.

Only insurance company will know. Do call up a few to compare them. The information given is free anyway.

Yes CB400 got to many theft cases.

Comparing my age and yours will be totally out. Yours should be in the range nearer to 1k or beyond for comprehensive. So best to check with the insurance company...they don't charge a cent for asking.

actually, different companies quote diff bikes at diff prices. my $650 is from axa. And do u believe that a BMW insurance can cost cheaper than a HAYABUSA insurance? :thumb: hard work pays off. :)
