problems or not, depends on your luck i think.

for me so far 3 years riding it not a single problem. all the money spent is on regular maintenance like EO, filters, coolants, spockets, chains, spark plugs, brake pads, etc, etc. to me its a good bike! hahaha

 

 

 

GSR 400 is heavy with bigger tyres compared to other 400cc bikes. its considered powerful and can top pretty high speed and its nice to corner and stable.. only acceleration may feel slower by few seconds if u try to race with revo, etc..

 

but.. it matters only if you are a racer.. i guess?

Wah... been awhile since i came here, i can see many new riders.....

 

Anyway, i've been riding my bike for 1.5 yrs. So far no problems. Just normal maintenance and wear and tear perishables (eg. EO, coolant, brake pads, etc.) like what a nelo has mentioned above. My bike is an FBD plater, 3 years and 3 months old.

 

Spare parts expensive? I havent had the misfortune to wreck my bike that i have to resort to buying model specific spares so i cannot comment on that.

 

Maybe what i could recommend to u is getting a scott-oiler if you are lazy when it comes to cleaning your chain. It dramatically improves the longevity of your chain and sprockets. My bike, 3+ yrs old is still using the stock chain and sprockets with an accumulated mileage of 79,000++km.

 

Honestly, in my opinion, there is not much to do for our bike, except for maybe some aesthetic modifications to suit your own personal desires.

 

On another note, lets talk about tires....

 

My tires are due to be replaced soon.. Currently on Pirelli Angel ST.

 

Any bros here tried Michelin Pilot Road 3 before? I am undecided whether to stick to Angel or try the PR3. No probs with the angel, just want to try another type of tire. The angels have been with me for 1.5 years and brought me to far and away places. (~25,000km to be exact)

The answer is No. If to change full system, only arrow has it but it will be for RACE use only. Thus becomes illegal as the roads are not for race. Plus it is chop for 600c, although 400cc can use. Plus plus the removal of the catalyzer from the bike which will deemed the bike's emission to be illegal.

Bro, can do all of us a favour.. Since ur GSR is at stationary, why not let Fibre Werks do a fairing for GSR members here.. Its a cool project if u dont mind.. Im just asking.. I think its best to contact Marko cause he have liaise with Fibre Werks.. Im just asking a favour.. Really want the fairing so muc.. As for me i cant put my bike as im riding it everyday to work.. If u could help it would be great.. Cheers..
