Anyone has got crash bars fitted to your gsr?

thinking of installing them..

Got one disadvantage when installing crash bars. If not wrong, most of these will restrict the removal of oil filter. So before you go out and get one, do check on the mounting instructions to see the brand you wanted to get will it restrict the filter.

Thank you for your valuable advice.

Will take note of this.

Aside from this, would like to ask if anyone has a used set and willing to let go?

The only reason why I'm not laughing with you is that I prefer laughing at you.

Coz there are differences for how the questions will be interpreted.

If you mean Insurance Company, I do believe NTUC is one of the best choices. Most of the companies are cheap but when come to claiming, it will be a tedious process. I guess most of us are with NTUC. If you have not claim or being claimed on your insurance before, there should be NCD (No Claim Discount). This would mean you pay less.

If you mean Type of Motor Insurance, it would me whether you would want to take [Third Party], [Third Party, Fire & Theft] or [Comprehensive] Insurance coverage.

From what you describe (with your age), I believe it is a Third Party Insurance Coverage. This would mean, if you bike got stolen or burnt, cannot claim from insurance. Do correct me if I am wrong. My GSR400 was $500 for a comprehensive coverage last year. Then again, cannot compare apple to apple due to age & loyalty. hahah.

oh i see.. not very sure with insurance though..

first time was with bike shop they settle for me with AXA..

after that i change to NTUC..

right now for my GSR i'm deciding which insurance and what type to take..

if I have 2 bikes, one of it with NTUC 3rd party insurance with 15% NCD,

can I add my GSR to it? Any idea?

If not wrong, NCD can be used only on one bike. The newer bike, in this case the GSR, will not get the 15%NCD. I maybe wrong. Do correct me if I am wrong. Anyway, no harm calling NTUC to verify.

u can try DIY, i used a plastic file's cover and cut the shape that fits nicely after i cover my seat. spray it glossy black and it looks great.. with thats without the 'handle' haha.

if u want the original stuff i believe its quite ex.. not sure where to get it though..

There is, it's called "Saddle shutter". Order online and it's not cheap. If not, could try asking Guan Hoe or Ks Motors for the original pillion grab bar.

It's the Rizoma replica "Tomok" mirrors. Available from Regina, heard it's about $65 bucks.

Right side fairing? Mmm, which part? GSR should't have any fairing but we are looking to fabricate it!

Anyway, KKFC meeting tomorrow at 8. Who wishes to join?
