Anyway back to technical topics, I was quoted $580 for a pair of Suzuki original front brake disc from a shop, is it expensive? Because the advice I got is if you change to aftermarket brake disc, it will be loosen over time, someone please clarify!!

Just a quick one. Where is a good place to find gsr400? Say, any specialty shop that holds more gsr400 stock?

Loois selling at 12.5k, expensive, they have ard 6 gsr down there. I asked them and he said whatever condition they are, stock pipes or not, with accesories or not, All are same priced at 12.5. My suggestion look ard at sgbikrmart and survey a lot. Hopefully you find the one as i did.

Haha, I've only upgraded recently. Have not even touched that product yet, so what you see is all done using Meguair's Motorcycle All Metal Polish.

Where did you get the meguair motorcycle all metal polisher, i cant seem to find it at petrol stations.

That's cheap. Galfer, Braking and other brands can cost close to 1k. No worries about aftermarket ones, it might be even better.

I got mine from Carrefour. This is what you should be looking for.

To add, as long as you get the original real deal, and not the made in China or Taiwan type. The Original ones would be sufficient for our road. Unless you are going to track where a milisecond matters if you brake or not. It does not hurt to use good aftermarket brakes, only pocket hurts if you get good ones hahahah

what logic is that?! LOL!

Its like you walked into a bazaar sales where they hang a "HOT SALES NOW!" and to find one trolley of random stuff. Comes with various condition and make up and the best picker wins the deal. LOL!

If original is made from where? Japan? I'm not a track junkie, just that people say if change to aftermarket brands, the disc will loosen over time, loosen as in the whole disc connecting to the shaft part, not sure how to explain but hope you get what I mean

What people? I've not heard of such things.

Both Galfer and Braking comes from USA so to be assured, get from reputable motorbike shops. These cost a bomb, so you can be sure that they fit your bike like a glove.

Original means that the product is actually manufactured by the company that owns the brand name instead of 3rd parties.

Ever heard of Arai raincoats? They are definitely not made by Arai so this is a example of 3rd party manufacturers.

The salesmen at u**que, Aftermarket brands im referring to is not galfer or braking, the reason why I wanna go aftermarket is because of a cheaper alternative than the original ones, brands like arashi

Come come you orgy washing sessions. The satisfaction of washing your own bike is priceless. Not to mention it is also the best time to check the bike for wear and tear or abnormalities on the parts, example loose screws and nuts, or even exposed wires.

To me brakes are one of the most important components of the bike. I would get those reputable brands from OEM or galfer/braking. If you are able to compare the chiong ones and OEM, OEM tends to lasts longer and are better in strengths unlike the unknown ones that might warp over time. I have also seen chiong brake disc break into 2 before as they cannot withstand the heat from the pads.

Minimum for me is to go for OEM (In this example is Suzuki brand). Anyway the price different between OEM and Braking/Galfer not that far. OEM should last you a good 7 years or so. Some 'people' tend to psycho riders that the disc are warped so need to change. At times its because of uneven brake pads that are mistaken for that and not the discs. By changing the pads, the issue is solved. Learning basic diagnosis will save money in the long run.

If a major repair is needed, I will get a second or third opinion. This could be going to 2 reputable shops to confirm the problem, or even the seniors.

Dun say like dat leh. Arai raincoats is made during night shift in a factory somewhere in the world leh. Anyway back to reality, Arai dun make raincoats, from what I know they only make helmets. Do correct me if I am wrong, or if anyone can find raincoat models in Arai webpage.

Hai, guys its been a long time since i comment here.. Hahha. How have u guys been doing?

I think its better for u to buy a brake disc alarm rather than the two-way or one-way.. I ask Unique b4 n they say its not advisable as it will drain ur battery if u park at an open carpark and a heavy downpour will trigger ur alarm..

Suzuki Bandit GSF400P>> 2008 - 2011

Not so true, why people keep asking unique hehehe. Anyway I got no say on that. Anyway it depends on the quality of alarm purchased. Those good quality ones will not sound off if it detects that it is a false alarm scenario. An example of a false alarm is a huge lorry passing by the carpark which causes vibrations to the road, and another is the very famous thunder storm.

I am on my alarm for 5 years already and it is still working perfectly. It have survived heavy downpours until the unit's speaker was submerge in water. It have been successfully transplanted between 3 bikes over the course of 5 years.

Anyway less talk about me. Good quality products are not cheap. Cheap products do not mean good. Heheheh Anyway for Bro Firdaus_Don, you might wan to invest in good quality disc brake locks and cable locks as well.

Juz to share found this at Home Fix Compassvale. I am not sure how long it is. I did bought a similar one from US and it is about 2.4m. If someone goes there, can confirm the length?

As with any products, do go for quality. Anyway even if your bike is lock with this thing, they can still move the bike away. Juz need a few buffed up people.
