Yes, glad to see someone understands the whole picture.

Like I said before, no one's stopping anyone from creating an external forum.

But, if its not affliated with SBF, please do not post links to it in here.

And please do not bring whatever issues or disagreements from there into here.

Well, perhaps you can help point out to me what issues I have caused problems on when I handle it in my capacity as a senior moderator?

If its concerning the polo-T MO, let me share a little secret with you....

I didn't remove all the Polo-T posts by Dino.

There are more than 1 senior moderator in this forum and even I am answerable to one of them.

I only got to know of this after it was removed and I tried my best to help clarify and pacify with all parties involved.

However, due to certain issues, I prefer to let it happen in the background and not trumpet it out in the open in the forum. Dino will know why and I prefer to let it come from him.

Its ok if I am perceived to be the bad guy based on 2nd-hand impressions.

Comes with the territory.

I prefer to let the real people involved to understand what is really going on.

He is rite ! base on our riders' feedback, the main cause of the vibration is the mirrors.

ok, let me clarify. the cause of the vibrations cannot be the mirrors because

that would mean that the reason that there are vibrations would be because

there are mirrors on the bike; therefore, implying that removing the mirrors would

hence eliminate vibrations.

the actual cause of the vibrations would be the engine itself. these vibrations

are then transmitted through the body frame to the handlebars and eventually

the mirrors, which manifest these vibrations because of their poor quality.

and about wildcard, i think we should give him a break. he's already closed both

eyes w.r.t. to the matter for so long.

the recent & sudden definitive action is because of a big brouhaha that

happened to the yamaha R1 & R6 riders when they conducted a similar

'private' MO recently. the MO was forced from the thread into the MO section,

more money got involved. end result of that was that 1 person got banned,

many others pulled out of the MO, and even more riders feeling sucky

afterwards; the shirt still got produced but wearing it will not bring the pride

that it was supposed to.

not to mention, that wildcard himself is a senior mod. if our little MO were to

go on, wouldn't that put him in very hot water should the site owners or

other mods find out? especially, given the recent spotlight on such 'illegal' MOs.

let's just wait out the storm for now. dino can PM whoever adds his name to

the list and ask for interest; at least, it won't be such a blatant flouting of the

rules here. and creating another forum just to host a t-shirt MO just smacks

of immaturity.

guan hoe at rangoon road is the local distributer for this bike. you might want

Siko's right.

Its not the mirror itself.

If its the stock mirror that's causing the vibrations, every other mirror that is installed would have no vibrations at all, not just reduced or lessened vibrations.

Anywayz, FYI, my stock mirrors are sold to a fren on a classic GSX 400 Impulse (not Bandit).

Totally no vibrations at all. In fact, he mentions its a much better mirror than the stock Impulse mirrors.

So the key is to eliminate the micro-vibrations to the handlebar.

I have been looking at this solution for some time.

Maybe whoever rich enuff can consider...

Yups, that's the reason why I change my handlebars...juz to get that balancer. heheh. Anyway I have not yet tried doing wheel balancing. Hope it lessen more of it. Now much less vibrations up till 80km/h. After which, mirrors will start to vibrate again but not as much as previously.

In theory like cars, will vibrate if high speed balancing is not done. So I am trying that theory out on bike. And I think it will works.

Vibrations is my no 1 enemy...makes everyone lethargic on long rides, not to mention numbness in the hands.

i guess, the highest speed mentioned here is 276km/h.

it's not a con, all bikes have vibration. i guess some just have more of an issue

with it. i've been riding without balancers, even as far as penang and back

and my fingers are still attached to my knuckles.

just as swoosh had quoted, a certain part of the text is misleading. u have to understand that we had different level when it comes to english. not everyone is as educated as sikonesis. :D watever it is, just let this unhappiness pass. no point picking on each other or who is right or wrong.

watever it is, we just stay as we r now lor. no MO then b it lor. we r not depending on the MO to eat rite? :D

as said, all bikes vibrate n it depends on which range they vibrate n which range don't. if gsr is revved into the higher range, the vibration will is lesser.

i'd say the bigger issue with the GSR is windblast at higher speeds. but that's

easily solved; lots of aftermarket windshields from puig, ermax etc..

maybe, get a test-ride if you can.

and 276km/h is with a few performance mods here & there.

stock setups go about 220km/h IIRC.
