yeah, all those that are not working for you are the essentials, so you better get them fixed or just pay a bit more for the shop to do it for you and usually can pass...

i'm using R2 now and i must say, it reduces vibrations quite a bit.....

$13.50 from LAB...

i think there's another more expensive brand but forgot what...ard $20 per bottle

Leyland... get the good oil.... but don't waste money on expensive petrol unless your motor has a alloy block (malossi, polini, pinasco....) A stock engine PREFERS 92 octane fuel. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

morning guys....

how much does it cost to do tuning of carb?

any good place that does it kos i remember sharpey saying that he still hasn't found a good place that does tuning yet

-= Unsure of what to get=-

Do it yourself Cephelix...

There's plenty of info online about how to set up your carb properly....

Its not that shops won't take your money to tune a carb... It's more that they won't have the time to do the job properly.....

Honestly its easier to do it yourself....

1) Warm up engine

2) Turn idle screw (the one that pops up out of your carb airbox) until idle speed is fast... but not really really fast

3) Turn mix screw (the one that was hard to reach with the screwdriver at the back of the carb) Clockwise until the engine almost dies from lack of fuel.... then turn out 1/4 of a turn at a time, waiting 15 seconds between each turn... keep turning until you don't hear the revs drop anymore... once you turn and the revs don't slow again... that's your setting.... Chances are it'll be between 0.75 and 1.5 turns out from closed.

4) return idle screw (turn anti clockwise) until your scoot idles nice and slow... but not so slow that it wants to cut out....

5) TADA!

To test your main jet (after you've put a new aircorrector, like a 160 or to be super safe, a 140) get on the expressway (TPE pref as it has lots of convenient and SAFE bike shelters where you can pull over).... Get engine warm and then rev the scoot out in third gear..... like full open throttle for about 30secs or so (always keep hand on clutch incase of seizure)... then cut the engine... i.e. switch off the ignition.... coast into the side of the expressway (preferably into one of these rain bays).... and pull your plug.... too rich it'll look brownyblack or jet black... to lean and it'll look like light coffe cream or even white.... You're shooting for a plug colour that is coffee with a dash of cream.... so mocha brown.... (this process is called a plug chop)

I think a 125 may be too lean for you....

May I suggest you buy a 160 air corrector and a 128 main (you may need to buy online as last time I checked...no shop had one...) Failing the 128, buy a 130 main jet and do the plug chop...

There you go....

right, cephelix, the manual is in a plastic bag on ah joo's desk~

Go grab it from him tmr... i told him its for Ali :)

Gosh, finally get my signals working. But its freaking messy..... all the dis-used wires. Ah huat spent quite some time on it... all the re-wiring...

Arghhh..... legacy from previous owner  had to spent money to do up the wiring so the signals dun crank up on me again. Grrrrrr.

Hmmm Ah Joo was mentioning he might join the outing tonight if possible but considering the weather...... think he might just decide to go home shake leg instead :cheeky:

wow it's reaally nice la gosh maybe a bit too fancy as chung mentioned for me, but nevertheless, it's definately swoon-worthy  anyway ya la, why do you think i gave up and told you to leave it to ah joo? haha it's pointless for us to toil over it for an hour or 2 and finally still having to give up when ah joo can settle it in 2 minutes  i really don't know how he does it. makes it look so easy some more when it's so :faint: in reality
