i've got some newbie question here..

wat did u do when u service ur vespa? other than changing spark plugs and EO.. been riding for nearly 2 yrs and i did just dat. so far so gd though..

hmm. that's about all! that's why only $30 plus plus. haha

but can ask mec to check the engine parts and etc. The braking (disc pad), the clutch cable...etc...

 

actually not much la. its the usual wear and tear.

 

usually they'll clean ur engine exteral too.

change ur gasket....if u have nt change it for a long time..

As e 1st bike, i guess it'd be less heart pain to get a classic.....b4 changing to auto GT a few yrs down the road. Think i'd cry if i scratch or drop a brand new GT

 

 

Oh saw the bubble visor -helmet wore by kenny. quite cutesy looking. how much those? There's a shop selling helmes in West Mall besides Sembawang Music. OMG... its priced @ $95. Wat the Heck sia.....!!!

was thinkin of re-sprayin my vespa. may i know wad is the price range for a paint job?? and where do you recommend i go?? i stay in amk, so would prefer somewhere nearer to home.

u r riding a classic or a auto vespa?

if auto vespa u can go to tong aik..

i think they do it

if classic u can either go to tong aik or ah joo at ubi..

but of cos tong aik is nearer..

is abt 300++ depends on the color u wan..

classic is not cheaper den auto

cos if u really go do it, is like much more ex..

my classic already cos mi $4k plus.. and outside they sell more ex

cos alot ppl looking for it.. very hard to find below 2k.

unless is PX type.. sprint & super not cheap

 

anyway whtever bike u drop rite, u sure heart pain not only auto

unless u dun like the bike..

so i think if u really wanna a auto one jus get the auto..

Hey guys, I used to ride a PX200.. Now that my bro in-law pass his 2B already he's using it.. Wanna check how much does it cost to change the side panels to those rounded ones(U guys might have posted earlier but me too lazy to read every post,sorry).. And I'm thinking of changing the tail light to Honda Phantom's tail light..

Hi there, as for the tail light, i'm not sure. perhaps if the mec dun mind DIY for u then shd be ok ba, provided its voltage is enough. 6v or 12v.

 

As for the rounded side, its actually for sprint veloce. however quite a number is converting PX to sprint v. So if ur exterior is rounded side but "square" headlight and the horn cast is of px's, it will be kind of a "mixed" breed.

 

But if u just wanna change, then perhaps u can just head down to tong aik motors. http://www.teamvespa.com.sg for more details. Call them up for the latest price and also labour charge. There's 2 types of rounded ones too, if i'm not wrong.

hmmm, yes and no ba. u can always hire purchase ur auto bike.

I actually like the bike as it is, a PX..That's why I didn't change much on the bike when I was riding it.. Anyway the bike's owner is my father in-law, so we're jus sub riders.. my bro in-law like.. the rounded side panels so just checking it out for him

jus saw the website.. this look like a Phantom's tail light.. BTW.. wat kinda voltage rating does a PX tail light uses?? Oh, the headlight is round wan..

Take a classic first, so ltr if upgrade, then will appreciate the auto scoot much moer

 

Cheaper as in, 2nd-hand buying price lah.... i wun tinker too much with the bike once i got it also. Me quite lazy noe... just wanna get used to the idea of scooter riding for a yr or two b4 i go upgrade haha

Hi, I just got a vespa PX. Can only hit 80 max then the bike will vibrate violently but I'm enjoying the ride. Anyone here has a copy of Owner's manual I can borrow to xerox or noe where to download? Many thanks...

i dunno if my bike is considered classic, its a bajaj. but it has the nice nose-bridge (not the squar-ish ones on px)

 

actually, i'm a new rider and have a few more questions to ask.

 

1. i do regular servicing at alexander motor shop at sim ming road. but i realised that my top speed have been decreasin from 90km/h to 85km/h and now to 80km/h. is there something wrong with it? the mechanic doesnt seem to find any problems with the engine.

 

later, he did something to make it go faster, but this caused my engine to die easily, esp when i stop at traffic lights (i have to open throttle slightly when stationary) den i complained and now, the engine doesnt die easily but my top speed has decreased again.

 

how?? wad shud/can i do??

 

2. i find that the metallic parts on my bike are slowly rusting awae. is there any anti-rust i can put on them?

 

oh yar, i'm lookin for a new bike cover. can you recommend me a good and cheap one? is there such thing as a transparent bike cover (so that you can see your bike thou its covered??)

 

3. i'm thinkin of gettin an IU unit for my bike. but i think its quite ugly to have it in front at the handle bar. is there are hidden places that we can fix it on?

 

i read that someone hides it in his sidebox, and den takes it out and hang it over his neck when passin thru ERP gantry. is that true??

 

oh yar, i heard we must register at VICOM for an IU unit, is it cheaper to get VICOM to fix on the IU unit? or at mechanic?? also, how much would it cost in total (IU unit + fixin it on)???
